LOL proper, good thing you know the answer!

Bwoy my file isn't even in Kingston yet and I am worried about them already. Efficiency is such a foreign concept in Jamaica, and they sometimes seem to be making up the procedures as they go along! ???

I like seeing that concept in movies and elsewhere, proper...we should be open to new things, and not discount something just because it's not what we are used to, you never know what you will learn, what you can gain, when something new happens along and you open yourself to the experience.

All this philosophizing is making me hungry. It also seems that most of this bottle of wine I opened is now gone...when did that happen? :

I had my first day back at work last night and EWWWWWWWWWWWWWW that was hell but gotta make money if I wanna go back to jamaica to get some BAM| BAM lol btw proper you are not alone lol i think woman just stay more quiet about it lol... but when i see hubby god I must have it lol hahahaha

chukie congrats with the update... mine had changed on jan. 25 and then i don't remember if it had erased before hubby got the call on feb. 3 or after my memory is failing me lol, I am exhausted, I have been in bed all day... I hate graveyard shifts... i am hoping your hubby gets a call this week... i know that they are updating ecas but i dont care what anybody says when anything changes you still feel happy cause you see progress even if you are not sure it is lol....

btw i check my husband b number yesterday on ecas and his address disappeared... last time anything changed on ecas we got a call shortly after so i am hoping for the same thing this time..

lilmaya and proper hold tight for the aor... i am confident you guys will hear soon... just keep in mind that not all applicants have received the aor...

chelley wow congrats one year... that is an accomplishement... i can't wait to talk about my one year lol hahahahahahaha it will soon come i feel it

CharlieD10: Next time you update the list, they have also received our medical results...it's funny how little things like that can somehow make us feel better. lol. It is so nice to know I am not alone in this and I also feel a little more in the loop. Just knowing Butterfly got through and her file was submitted in September, gives me a little hope... maybe false hope.. but hope none the less. lol.

Proper: I actually sent an email asking about the AOR because i have heard that you should receive it in 8 weeks. I of course haven't heard anything back but somehow it makes me feel better to feel like i'm doing something. The weekends for me are the hardest. Not being with my husband + knowing nothing is going on in that office. They need to be a 24/7 operation in my humble opinion. lol.

So I logged into e-cas this evening and now the medicals received is gone

I don't really know what Kingston is doing but I'm hoping they call us soon for a passport. No contact or responses to e-mails is very frustrating.

Yup...I just checked ECAS and Meds Received is gone once again.....I hate this roller coaster ride.

LCW did meds received ever reappear on your file before your hubby got the call?

Lilmaya, I amended the last updates to include your medicals.

With that said, however, it would seem like eCAS is unreliable at this time, and apparently soon to be redundant. This business with the magically appearing and disappearing medicals is extremely disappointing. This is a stressful process, we can't get any kind of information out of KG, and here is the last supposed refuge of reliable information apparently infected with some kind of virus. Hmmm. That makes me wonder....But my thought processes are somewhat wine-soaked right now, so pay me no mind, just idly speculating.

Lady PoshProper and Remagray I was curious after reading your posts so I checked on CIC website and now my application states: APPLICATION RECEIVED.. I am now wondering if they just reviewed my application in Kingston?

This is soo frustrating although I have read other posts and I am not going to be too alarmed. I am hoping that we all get a passport call soon.

I am praying everyweek, going to church and checking out this forum. I hope all is well for this weekend!

C'mon Kingston lets get some more calls this upcoming week.

ladyposh... i am not sure if you are directing your question to me or to lcw???

I just looked back in the posts my hubby got the call on feb. 3 in the afternoon to say they were finalising but misplaced his medical and that same night medical results received was taking off.... It was then put back when I was in I think on thursday feb. 17 if i am not mistaken... now with the b number my hubby address was missing but now i just looked with my client id and the b number and medical results received is taken off again but the address is back... OMG they are driving me nuts....

My 'medical results received' has disappeared off of my page as well. I take a little comfort in knowing it has been there for a couple months now.. before these so called "glitches" but who knows. It is beyond scary to know that these people are holding my happiness in their hands and are experiencing technical difficulties!! Too much stress. Here's hoping the technical difficulties will approve all of our applications and we'll all have visa's next week! lol.

Good evening everyone and congrats on the good news updates and babies.
I got home late Monday night from 5 days in Jamaica to see my husband. I had not seen him in 5 months, needless to say we NEVER left the yard lol ;D... who knows mabe I will have a likkle good news of my own in a few weeks (wink) Being back has hit me pretty hard this time around, but I know you all know how that goes. The first 2 weeks back are the hardest. On a sad note, my medicals recieved on ecas is gone.... ugh I cried like a baby

lilmaya... lol I am praying for such a thing to happen... that would be a dream come true... I had a dream today that hubby got his visa and I was crying of joy then I woke up crying and all confused and trust me I wish my dream would of been true but lets hope the system says decision made for all of us and we all get the pp drop off next week that would be awesome

randysgirl...maybe that will make 2 of us with great news soon lol The BAM BAM BAM may be paying off lol hahahahah who knows lol btw I am pretty bummed out that my ecas changed again too but lets hope change means what it meant last time... a call about a week later lol

I see everyone is talking about ecas....not sure if you read masskendawta's post or not but she does explain it

Morning Forum Family,

after checking ecas this morning my application information has now disappeared completley!...ecas now has "We were not able to identify you using the information you provided".

So I trolled some other message boards and found this:

Basically ignore most of Ecas right now. CIC/CHC is migrating it's information to GCMS and you are getting all sorts of funny ecas results. It is even effect people have ordered CAIPS. On the CAIPS report it will show PSDEC and a code 9. Meaning the application is no longer in CAIPS but is in GCMS. I wouldn't be surprised if the teething pains for the new system go on for up to a year.

So basically those of us who have issue with ecas: addresses being missing and medical results appearing and dissapearing I think it safe to say that we should take this info with a huge grain of salt!......LOL!!!

This whole ecas thing is very sad. It is not like we are checking on an update on our facebook, this is our lives we are waiting on, and for most of us who are in limbo without our family being together. It is so unprofessional for them to have such a terrible "glitch" in their system, I am a GM for a major franchise operation, imagine If I posted false info or posted on our website that someone had won a contest but had not.... I would be looking for another job that is for sure!!!!

Randysgirl: Uggghhh ... that feeling of elation seeing your love again and the DEVASTATION of leaving them behind! I swear i am obsessed with constantly trying to figure out how i can get back to Jamaica which in my head i know it's not at all a reality right now but try telling my heart that! lol. These so called glitches in their system just makes me so concerned at where else there are glitches and it starts to make sense how an office can say you have to redo your medical... they can't find certain documents... it sounds more like a circus than a government office. So scary!
