We had applied a few times before we had our PR in and my husband was denied for the same reason but we applied again once the PR was in after a few months and he was granted it. We applied online and within 2 weeks of applying he was here. They granted him a Multi entry with a 2 year expiry date and when we applied for the extension I asked for it until the end of his TRV which was Dec 2017 and they granted that as well. Currently he is back in Jamaica dealing with the PR part and we found out today that it has finally been approved and his passport is heading back to the VOC for him to pick up. He will be back home in Canada again next week.

Congrats, good news , must be a relief, you were the couple having a challenge with the PC for st.maarten if I remember correctly?For your PR section,How did you find out the passport was on its way back to the VO? These folks never tell you anything ... they took our passport October 12 haven't heard boo since...

That's great news for you! Ecas still says in process for us, and wenint viewed October 10, when did you? They didn't call and let you know it was approved? I can't link to account, only Ecas

We just got a passport request, no interview.

Oh no they didn't call to tell us it was approved. I just decided to check my cic account then saw that it said application closed and application approved. It definitely gives more details than Ecas.

You should try linking ur application again.

I've tried and tried, nothing works. I have no idea what the problem is and no one can help, anywhere I call they say they can't help. So frustrated

My husband had the same guy and the story sounds very familiar.

Its so funny that was the same interviewer my husband had....He told my husband he took too long to marry me. My husbands response was "we wanted to make sure we were making the right decision". The interviewers response was "THAT DOESN'T MAKE MUCH SENSE TO ME"??????????!!! I'm sorry I thought we had the right to get married when ever we chose to.....I know if we got married quickly he would have asked whats the rush!.......He definitely wanted to get a rise out of my husband. BUT WE CONQUERED THAT INTERVIEW.!!!!! HE IS BY FAR THE WORT INTERVIEWER KVO HAS......

Hey as long as they ask for they passport you have nothing to worry about......it normally takes 1-3weeks to get it back.

Don't worry maybe because they are quickly approving everyone they have a little line up they don't usually ask for passport if its not a good sign.....have you tried emailing kvo again?

It's taking sooooo long I don't get a response because it's still "within processing times"

May 18, 2016 Application received in Mississauga
June 10, 2016 Email notification confirming receipt of application
July 20, 2016 Sponsorship Approval and file transfer to Kingston
July 25, 2016 Started processing application

Police check and medical exams all done upfront. All fees paid upfront.

I can't remember if there's any other info that I should be including but that seems to be lots

It's been really exciting to watch everyone's journey so far and I've really appreciated all the info that you have all shared. I am especially interested in hearing about the interviews and the questions being asked. It seems that there are lots of people with similar experiences. I wonder if we could add a tab to the spreadsheet and keep a running list of these things as they come up? That would be a lot easier than having to sift through thousands of pages looking for interview tips and sample questions when our time comes. Just a thought for your consideration! Thanks

Great news!!!! How do you know it's on its way back to KVO? I'm just hoping my husbands is along side of it! He interviewed October 10 as well...
