Heyyyyy Guys,

So my hubby got back his passport on Friday from CIC...I'm Soo happy and sincerely want you guys tremendously for always answer my questions or providing feedback because trust me it helpssss significantly

Just a brief synopsis of my application process, for those of you are would like an idea of how long it may take

-Application was sent thru UPS on April 2, 2015
-Rec'd on April 7, 2015, however they did not began processing until April 30, 2015
-Sponsor approval on May 29 2015
-CIC called my hubby on September 8, 2015 asking about his current employment in Jamaica and sent letter asking for us to pay the remaining fee
-Letter requesting passport, new police record and birth certificate on February 25, 2016
- We submitted the requested documents on March 10, 2016 thru Tara Courier
- Hubby received passport on April 15, 2016, however the visa was dated for April 4, 2016 and they have given him until September 4, 2016 to be in Canada

He originally did his medical bk in June of 2014 and it was submitted initially, however they never requested a new one (nt complaining at all about that for sure)

So everything was a little under a year and I believe if we had paid everything upfront, the process would have probably been short but thank God none the less

Any advice about his landing that anyone who has been thru that process want to share with me so that, that process can be as smooth as possible

Congrats!

Could someone please tell me, when sending a document from Jamaica to Canada, which courier service is best?
Thank you ;D

Tara is only local so it's between DHL and FedEX I've had a bad experience with DHL so the only one I use is FedEx

If you're using a courier the address is Canadian High Commission - Immigration Section, 3 West Kings House Road, Kingston 10, Jamaica. We used DHL, but other people have used Tara with no problems so it's up to you how you send it :) Either courier company will know the address as well, they send these kinds of things all the time :)
thanks

Good morning everyone. Hoping for some great news this week or my notes at the very least. Congrats to all that have come to the end of this journey and prayers to all of us that are stuck in the middle of it :D

Got my notes this morning which I wasn't expecting I received the manual file on Thursday and that's what I had ordered by mistake when I put in the request but I'm not complaining I took a quick glance through and the only thing that's passed so far was the medical, everything else is not started but I'm gonna take another read through again to make sure I didn't miss anything

Good morning everyone. My notes are due today hoping to get them sometime this week. Hope everyone has had a great weekend.

Congrats Ally. Ur hubby and mine got their passports back the same day. My husbands date issue was April 5th and he's got until February 2017 to leave Jamaica. We asked for an extension. Anywho again congrats ! :)

Good morning to everyone. I hope more good news for the up coming members.

Question though, why are so many of you requesting notes so early ? I don't think you'll see much until your application has matured. I'd give it aleast 6 months after Kingston received your app.

Enjoy your day guys blessings!

I think most of us just ordered it out of curiosity at least I know I did. I know it probably won't say much but it still nice to know if there has been any progress made. It is only $5 so I will probably be ordering another set around the 6/7 month mark and compare.

Lol yeah the codes are a bit confusing I just finished looking over all 65 pages, my eligibility date is 01/18/2017 which I guess from seeing what others posted is that's the final date to complete everything and I know he passed his medical, everything else isn't started yet, I see nothing about an interview, but I'll request again in June if we hear nothing from them
