I got my notes! Now to understand them. Only future dated "due date" i have seen so far says Jan 2017

Hey guys I'm new here. I'm in the process of applying for my husband in Jamaica n just wanted to see everyone's time line

Here's mine:

January 28, 2016- Application sent to CIC
February 2, 2016 - Application received
March 9, 2016 - Processing of Application
March 16, 2016 - Medical results have been received
April 14, 2016 - Approved for sponsorship, application sent to Kingston.

Hubby got a call from Tara this morning to pick up his passport Immgratuon journey done, just under 13 months!

I want to say thank you for everyone pass, and present! This has been such a long process and I am so glad I've gotten to exchange information with all of you!
Without this forum & all the indivduals here, I couldn't imagine how frustrating this process would have been. In meantime I've gotten to know a few of you personally and have gained new friendships that I hope will last. <3 YOU ALL!

& to the newbies, I HOPE FOR A SPEEDY PROCESS !!!

Anyone that has received notes before and have PR. How close were the due date on eligibility to the date you got approved?

I ended up ordering my notes a Couple weeks ago.. when I get them ill let u know what date mine says. But I THINK most people have got PPR a month or two before the final due date.

I just checked our most recent notes, our due date for the eligibility section was updated in July 2015 to be due by April 20, 2016 and hubby got his ppr on Feb 12, 2016 So just under 2 months before the eligibility portion was due. Not sure if that makes any difference or not because they seem to do things on their own timelines whenever they feel like, but might be a rough guideline anyways!

If you're using a courier the address is Canadian High Commission - Immigration Section, 3 West Kings House Road, Kingston 10, Jamaica. We used DHL, but other people have used Tara with no problems so it's up to you how you send it Either courier company will know the address as well, they send these kinds of things all the time

So my hubby got back his passport on Friday from CIC...I'm Soo happy and sincerely want you guys tremendously for always answer my questions or providing feedback because trust me it helpssss significantly

Just a brief synopsis of my application process, for those of you are would like an idea of how long it may take

-Application was sent thru UPS on April 2, 2015
-Rec'd on April 7, 2015, however they did not began processing until April 30, 2015
-Sponsor approval on May 29 2015
-CIC called my hubby on September 8, 2015 asking about his current employment in Jamaica and sent letter asking for us to pay the remaining fee
-Letter requesting passport, new police record and birth certificate on February 25, 2016
- We submitted the requested documents on March 10, 2016 thru Tara Courier
- Hubby received passport on April 15, 2016, however the visa was dated for April 4, 2016 and they have given him until September 4, 2016 to be in Canada

He originally did his medical bk in June of 2014 and it was submitted initially, however they never requested a new one (nt complaining at all about that for sure)


So everything was a little under a year and I believe if we had paid everything upfront, the process would have probably been short but thank God none the less


Any advice about his landing that anyone who has been thru that process want to share with me so that, that process can be as smooth as possible
