See its all in Gods hands, and when we give it to Him to sort out, it lifts a weight off of our shoulders.
Cant wait to hear new and exciting things tomorrow. Lets see what happens!

So true, I could not sleep last night so I spent the time.. gathering skype transcript.. whats appp... google and emails and pictures all evidence to show the solidarity of the marriage during the interview I know its 5 weeks but I want to ensure I send him armed as you know men they are not always as thorough..

Does anyone know if the two people who got through in 4 months were actually approved? I see decision made but it never shows that they landed on the spreadsheet.

The last we heard from Jodz was that her hubby would be landing in 2 days (in April), and thats the last time she was on.
Sunkissed has 4 months stated on the spreadsheet for some reason but in one of her last posts in May she said it was actually 5 months and 2 days, which confuses me.
She had these dates listed:

App. Filed.......: 12-11-2014
AOR Received.: 30-01-2015
File Transfer...: 26-03-2015
Med's Request: submitted with application
Med's Done....: 01-09-2014
Passport Req..: 30-03-2015
VISA ISSUED...: 23-04-2015

So it says it was only 4 days from the time it was transferred until she got PPR. THATS INSANE. Most times they dont even respond to email in that amount of time so Im not sure how all the checks and background and security checks were done in just 4 days, but good for them.

Sorry that timeline is really crazy...

good luck to you.

Hello canadianinlove--- that is great.. any insight would be great I am a very thorough person who like to be armed-- so any help I will take to ensure he is prepared as I have waited years -- 9 years of long distance and all the travelling takes its toll-- we have our business affairs set that he can finally make a move I want no further delays or hiccups:) Good luck to you and yours as well.

No that is not the case --- sometimes I heard they may call to verify information but in my case my husband is the only one to be present - they send me the notice via email of the convocation.

They are only interviewing him but they request that the sponsor be available for questions. I am going with him instead of being on the phone. I think it makes a better impression to be there.

4-6 months for everything is very unlikely unless they know someone at the embassy because we all know how money runs Jamaica lol

And ladies just a heads up they have changed up the police record system in Montego Bay .. My husband friend went last Thursday to do it and when we went yesterday to pick it up it was showing a charge on there that withdrawn. He then took it to Kingston to the Duke street location and he was brought upstairs to a office , he paid them $10,000jmd and they cleared it off for him and gave him a clear check ... So crazy how could something that's been withdrawn show up on there ? But anyways it's Jamaica so gosh anything is possible lol

I was just skimming thru prior posts looking for some specific info and re-read this one. Is this the same friend who just got PPR?
Also, this must have been something case specific as this is not the process for a regular police check and the highest fee for a police check is $8000jmd and thats for next day service.
The next day service is only available at the Duke Street location in Kingston, so maybe thats what he did since he went there to pick it up. You have to go upstairs to pick it up, so sounds to me like he applied for next day and they sent it to Kingston. Not a new process. But still, if its the same friend who got PPR, thats amazing to do police check in October and then go thru the security checks (different than background check) that has taken them months for my file. They have great luck!

Hey everyone hubby emailed yesterday asking for an extension on the medical and questioning whether a new police certificate would be required. He got a response today stating that the medical Extension was granted and that he may proceed with the application for a new police certificate... So I suppose that's what we'll do go and get a new police certificate. It has not been a year yet for the record.

Ok! I would just go get a new one since they said to proceed to do so. At least you know you dont have to hurry and get the next day service. But thats good, one step forward :)
