See, they love to keep everything a huge secret, I dont know why. Like why cant they just send you a quick email saying they received it?
I think its because they dont want to answer as to what it is they are actually doing there. Are they working or just sitting around doing nothing. Seems that way to me.

Exactly! I mean how long does it take to look at paperwork - honestly? If it was a private company paid to process these files it would be done in 1/2 of the time I am sure.
We waited to get a letter from POS VO for an interview invite for 3.5 months!
I am a corporate recruiter and would be surely fired if it took me 3.5 months just to book an interview!

Yep- its simply bs and a way to control the system---they are not thinking of the ill-effects on our families and how many got torn apart as a result of the stressful waiting game.

Exactly!! Why arent they being monitored by someone to enforce a faster process? And why dont they have to answer a simple yes/no answer. I asked them if the security checks were done yet and all they had to say was yes or no, and they wont answer. Why not?!

it's the politics of it all. it's beypnd ridiculous i honestly think they make the processing times so long so that people can get discouraged and not want to sponsor their family members. because why else does it really take so long. but they're so quick to take your money for it all. makes no damn sense. if they're really that backed up hire some more people... so many people are eager for jobs.my gosh.

i have a quick question. so hubby's medical is coming up and he's freaking the hell out because he is a smoker everyone knows of what...lol lets just say a plant. anyway lol i just want to ease his mind cause hes actually been so stressed out about them finding it in his bloodtest. so i told him i'd ask the group.


what exactly are they looking for and since he is a smoker has anyone ever known or heard of a case where their application was rejected or scrutinized for such?

my hubby quit for three months because he was told a friends was refused because the thc was to high in his bloodwork so he stopped smoking three months prior and still dont smoke was big commitment after smoking over 30 years

Im not too sure on that one. I know they look for anything that would be a burden on the Canadian health system, diseases etc but ive heard thru other stories that they can consider weed smoking on the medical. Ive also heard they dont. So im not too sure.

that is a huge commitment lonely, hubbys been smoking the last 15 years religiously like everyyyyyday and hes stopped cold turkey for the last month. sighhh i dont really know what to tell him then ladies i really didn't want to add more time to our submission date in order to give him more time to do the medical..... what do you guys suggest?

Honestly I wouldn't take a chance you can always put application in an summit medical in few month not like their rushing applications anyways do you think he can stay clean at least a few months drink lots of water roots tomatoe juice IT all helps clean his system my hubby smoked around the clock and he stopped only three months before bloodwork

girl he better stay clean or we're gonna have some serious problems lool... but yeah i trust that he can do it he's been doing pretty well. yeah you're right i was leaning towards submitting then giving the medical in after. he says hes beein drinking a cleanse and lots of water.... ughhh the stress lol but i rwad online 3 months is good time so that goos for your hubby

Shorty I am praying that ur hubby gets PPR this month hon and of course whoever that's processing date was in March. Cause if you do, everything will start making sense. Then I can be hopeful that PPR wil be coming to hubby in January and I'll be in Jamaica at that time! 8)
