Good morning everyone!
Something new is up with eCas today, as now they have added a line to many of our file stating the date they started processing (those of us in the batch that got IP)
Anyone else notice this?
My processing date is March 17, 2015. That was the date they told me it was received too. Hmmm

YES! Mine did this as well! But the date is says they started processing is the date they had informed me via email in June that they had received my file in Kingston...

thanks Shortyp2000 - I paid 56.00 for my notes.... I would have preferred 5 bucks! lol
:P ::)

1 week before PPR my Ecas changed too like this but instead of In Process it went to Decision Made directly, I never see In Process. The line 2 was not there before also.

DECISION MADE :
Permanent Residence
1.We received your application for permanent residence on December 9, 2013.

2.We started processing your application on November 28, 2014.

3.Medical results have been received.

4.A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

So I pretty sure you will here something really soon ! :)

I also checked my Ecas this morning and that line was also added to mine that says they begun to process my husbands application January 20/2015...this line was added sometime last night after 9pm because I checked my Ecas at 8:45 and it just had the two lines saying application received November 12-14 and medical results received ...it's so stressful I just can't wait for them to send the PPR.. It's unfair they process work visas, study visas and TRVs within Aprox 30 days so they should be able to process out spouses applications faster then they do ..my lawyer did tell me Kingston typically sends out a passport request 6-10 months into the processing . ...I'm hoping it's all processed before winter starts so my hubby can adjust to the weather change easier lol ....

That's awesome, that line was added to mine as well.
:)

I hope so! I ordered Permanent Resident application notes
???

thats good news hopefully there starting to move again now , they slow things down a bit in the summer. It seems we all got the same line added to our Ecas. If you did your medicals November 2014 I would sugguest you email Kingston to ask for a extension on the expiry of your medical , I did that just a couple weeks back. I initially asked if I should redo the medicals as the expiry date was approaching and they told me that they granted my request and the medical is extended to August 2016. I have been told by a few people to redo the police check because it expired but Kingston told me not to , and my lawyer told me that it's the medical that has to be valid when they land and not the police check . Kingston does also do there own police check during the processing so unless there is something that's not clear or someone else with a similar name and date of birth showing up in the system when they do there check it's unlikely they would request a new one . My lawyer told me every time you mail something to them it gets input into the system and gets put at the bottom of the pile for review so it can actually delay your process if you mail them additional information before they request it . My lawyer had me summit so much stuff when we did our application it was actually sent in a box because it could not fit into any envelopes . We had emails , text messages , digicel top up online history for 4 years , my cra stuff showing he has been on my tax info since May 2012, life insurance policies for both of us naming the other a benefitacy, bank info from a account we have together and a land title from land we own together in Jamaica , my last name has been changed to his , we had 20 support letters from family and friends contesting to our relationship , birthday cards , emails , phone records from my company in Canada and his in Jamaica , I have travelled there 16 times in 2.5 years and usually stay 2 weeks - a month each time. We had western union slips from Me sending him money and him sending me money, we summited over 300 photos and also both wrote detailed accounts of our relationship from start to now, mine was 50 pages and his was 30 pages . With everything in the application it was over 900 pages. If your application is put together well
And there are no discrepancies between your information and his information and there isn't a significant age difference between the two of you then your interview should be waived which makes the process significantly faster .

Ive been reading many other threads on the IP thing and now everyone else is getting the extra line too, so what people are saying is that the IP is basically just that CIC is trying to be uniform in its eCas updates and making this IP thing be AOR2. So it doesnt necessarily mean too much except that they are working on it whether its in initial review or processing queue.
So, as I thought, it got me excited for no reason and I still have no idea where my file stands.

@ Paula, I don't want to be rude but using a lawyer doesnt change anything at all cause they are there only to make money and they dont give a s h i t if you wait a long time....I just hope people will follow their hearts and not follow your advices because of the lawyer bull sh its...

Look the spreadsheet on my line...look the amount of months vs peoples above or below me (around my timeline)....I did everything b4 them request it and it never slowdown, it was even faster then other peoples. Samething for Ninirae and Zoey80...PC has been redo and we all save 2 to 3 months waiting.

Look Roxie-B and HubbyWifey, they have wait them to request stuff and now since May they have sent everything and they are still waiting for PPR....so for real, what do you think it slowdown the process!???

Well its up to you guys to do what you want, but since almost 2 years now I saw many convos or info from different sources like a VO in hospital in Kingston was telling how it works to a nurse + somebody whos working at Criminal record office (pc) in Kingston saying to always maintain the PC valid and send another one in asap to make it faster...so the lawyer doesnt really care about your feelings or how it works, he does care about your wallet and the more time is gonna take the more money hes gonna earn....

The reason I wrote to you it is just because you sounds like you want to scare peoples on the forum and I dont like this. Cause the way you manage your process, I have a feeling that you going to have an interview cause you hired a lawyer plus you send a box of evidences (that is completely unnecessary), that sounds to me that you really need to proof that your relationship is authentic.

No offence, but it needed to be clarified

i got same update today too

Hey everyone. I was just asked to Send in a new police clearance. I'm going to asap and now I'm wondering what is happening and what to expect...

Hi, and u paid fees in June right? So that means they are a the final step and since the PC was expired, then they have requested the new one. If it would have be valid, then it would have be PPR...so run run to criminal record office to get it done asap! :) When u got it, send a copy via email and the original by mail.
