Hi Meljam

Just so you know I have gotten back my passport
Yesterday. And reading the letter my visa was
Actually issued April 29, 2015 they just mailed it out late
Thank God this leg is over now just to land.

Thank you for your support
I notice no one replied to my last post.

Hi Vancouverain, way to go! That was so quick. That is awesome. I don't know why some take up to 2 months. Not consistent. So let's see how long it will be for us.....

Best to you!! :)

Hi

Don't worry you will get back your pp soon
I had a lot of problems with DHL so my lawyer
Told me to email pos I sent a respectful email
Stating I have made arrangements with DHL
To pick up my pp. I think it's the attention to this
Matter God allowed them to just speed along the process
Also my passport was stamped with the visa
From April 29, 2015 the and shipped the 4th of May I got it
Yesterday after calling DHL to place a rush On the package
Because it was on hold at Their shipping facility
What I will advice you to do is start packing booking flights
Sorting thorough your stuff it's a big move to immigrate
The passport will come in time but packing takes time

So will you bring all your suitcases on plane or will you ship stuff separately? Here is another matter to figure out :D

I know you will get yours very soon
Don't worry about it just start packing it's
A tedious process getting your belongings
It's even harder than waiting on the visa and pp

I paid for my first part of my application but where do you pay the permanent residence fee?? I can't remember and can I pay it any time??

Hi Solkaman

Well in your package they also send you
A letter outlining how to: health care banks politics
Government everything you need to know
It's a welcome letter it tells you never sign write
Or tamper with your copr until you are in front
Of an immigration officer at the port f entry when you
Land then he or she will ask you to sign the document
Before them as witness.

The letter states that canada will allow you free of charge
To move your property and belongings there is a form
You must fill out to do so.

Longest Application EVER

CONGRATULATIONS!!

Hubby and I submitted his pp + requested police check, updated medicals etc. to POS on April 17th and we received DM on the 28th and got the PP back on the 4th of May. VERY quick turnaround. We used Fedex but actually couldn't track the package because he forgot to keep the tracking # lol

Hey Vancouverain, yes I had a great time thank you. I am not the one packing though.... my husband is. So he has is work cut out for him.

Thank you for sharing all the details about the welcome letter and stuff. Lots to think about: driver's license, health insurance, fill out papers for Ohip and Social Insurance card, get adjusted to a new world, find a job, all that!! Scary and exciting all at once

Quoting a thread posted by user irvah for processing times:

CIC released case processing time for spouses by Visa Office.
http://open.canada.ca/data/en/dataset/427337d0-7c36-4fed-8428-c6a63f8c19b3

Below is the data for the last period of 12 month (October 01, 2013-September 30, 2014). You can download table and sort data by type of cases and see % number of cases completed within X months or less and total number of cases by VO.
Here all data related to Family Class (Priority – Spouses & Partners):

All Points of Service: 20% of cases completed within 6 months, 50% within 11 months, 80% within 19 months, total number of cases 45,053

Hi Solkaman

Yes it is a big move you can call or check the
License body for your city search for international
And you will find information you need to get your
Drivers license done, however you are allowed
To drive for 6 months with your foreign license
Until you change over some Provence time line
Is shorter. Ohip You are not allowed To claim or sign up
For health insurance until 3 months has passed
During this time you have to purchase personal
Insurance during this time make sure the coverage is good
You will need this also if you plan to have your
Husband working until he is placed on Ohip
You can check out " moving to canada for the first time cic"

Have fun

I think I got the worse case for my jamaican husband he's on an exclusion order that he has been back home 4 months now. He has a denied refugee claim, he's 27 years older then me and I married him after his exclusion order and failed refugee claim. because he never got his divorce papers until after he got caught..
the things that are good is that we have been together 8 years, lived together 6, reason for not doing application sooner I was under an undertaking with my ex husband for 3 years because I sponsored my ex husband.. plus me and my husband now had too both get divorces from our exs...
I feel like I'm under the worse situation possible to get my husband back

Hey fams...Hubby and I are still here waiting.

I took a mini break from checking up on the forum because now I truly understand how it feels to be skipped on the list ...but I'm still happy for those of you who have gotten through.

For us, we were suppose to have completed an FBI from the beginning (something our consultant confused us on - as he kept refering to it as a police certificate)
We sent in a police certificate with our application in May 2014.

In Feb 2015, we received an email from CIC in Jamaica and they advised us that we need to send in an FBI...
Our consultant told us to do the same thing we did the first time, so we did yet another Police certificate ...shipped it off...and received a phone call that we hadn;t done it right the first time or the second time and they're waiting on us to submit the FBI and that the wait time is long.

So far, the wait time for FBI's to be opened, processed and returned, has been 3-4 months based on other cases. We are right at the 1.5 month mark since we submitted the request for FBI. We';re keeping the faith. Thats all we can do. Can't help but wish my hubby was here though. Does any one know the time frame tobe approved once CIC has the FBI in hand?

Thank you Jessie2014 I say prayers every time..
I've been sick about the whole situation
