I'm really sorry to hear that. Did you happen to save it before you printed it out or at least make a photo copy?

Also when you pay the RPRF it is sent to Mississauga and not Kingston. There are directions on where to send it after you pay. You can email it, fax it or mail it in. It's a lot faster (IMO) to fill it out and email it. Mississauga is the office that will apply payment not the VO office. Once it is added to your file,it's updated and the VO office will see then when they look at your file.

oh no! they told me kingston, so I sent receipt there and emailed it to them.... I guess i'll email it to Mississauga thanks for that info. Does anyone know what the link/email is to email Mississauga

How do you get a police check from Canada when your husband isn't here but lived here before

should i certified the copy documents like passport and birth certificate?
well almost ready to mail my application to my wife.....

No they do not have to be certified, but I would recommend color photo copies.

congrats ha ha! Hoping mine comes during nice weather so he doesnt feel it too badly ha ha

hahaha - hi Mel! I was just checking in on things here wondering what was happening on the Kingston thread. How is hubby adjusting? Mine started work a month a go and that has made the world of difference. He is happy to be out of the house and earning a fair amount of cash (a lot more than he is used to). He is in an apprenticeship program and on his way to getting his Red Seal so it is fabulous. We are still working out the kinks of living together and having him adjust to a new way of doing things (so far his biggest complaint is how much it costs for him to get a hair cut and shave) but overall things are fabulous and we are anxiously waiting the sunshine so we can start exploring! What a winter for new spouses from Jamaica!!

Love this!! I am blessed that my husband experience a bit of winter before coming back to Jamaica when his visitor visa expired!!

Yesterday was our 1st Anniversary and I was looking on ECAS all day long for a decision made!!!! I had a dream about my husband last night and this morning I checked ECAS!! Guess what??? It says Decision Made! Now I am assuming that this means his passport will be sent back to him from the Embassy with his PR VISA and COPR form! I can not believe they don't even put online it if was approved or anything!! They love to keep us guessing! All it says they will contact him concerning this decision. I think I will be an anxious wife until we get our package in the mail.

My most frustrating moments are when they say one thing online and then the actually process is different. I am ever grafteful for all the support I have gotten from Kingston, Jamaica FORUM!!! Without the information shared with me here, I would have been so stressed!

Now I got to see what I am going to do, I have a flight booked to go down the last week of May! Do we wait, do I go, does he come up alone, do i come up with him? My head is running a million different directions!!!!!! Gonna be a full summer of love!! :)

Hi Maty ! I am happy to read your message, thats amazing !! It is similar to my husband, he started working not even a month after he reached here, now got his own car so since, he feel more dependant and he feel more happy in Canada! We had some up and down because of the adjustment but it is just normal! My hubby too is on his way to getting his Red Seal but first we are waiting to receive the certificate of qualification. That is the rule when you live in Québec. Mine does he own dreads himself and started to do dreads for some people and he charged less than they are used to pay so its big money for him lol So its nice, I like to see him adjusting and doing things by himself like he was used to do in Jamaica !! Cant wait for summer also! Hes always saying, I will beleive it when I will see it ! LOLOL

YAYYYY Oh yes yes !! And since his passport is in Kingston, it should not takes too long to come back !! Start stalking DHL ! Theres even an application for phone !! Well I guess you used DHL and you have a phone ! lolol Congrats on this decision and be ready to book a flight, hubby is coming home girl!

OMG you are lucky! Hubby goes nuts and comes home saying "$27 for a haircut and shave - what is this all about!!" I laugh.

Do you guys have a Jamaican festival/Carnival of sorts in Montreal? I want to surprise him with some type of trip this summer to a place that actually has some type of Jamaican festival but so far I can only find the Toronto Carnivale website/event. Montreal would be closer for us and we could actually meet up! And my hubby knows Cafelatte's hubby from when they were kids so that could be fun!! Let me know if you have anything in the area that may be fun for us to attend.
