Congrats MrsBAngel....your process has officially begun. Good luck and be patient which I know if easier said than done.

Ikr! Thanks hun :D

HI all - congrats to everyone who is receiving news! I hope for speedy processing now out of Kingston!!

Jessie - include EVERYTHING you have. I included even the messages where we were fighting (because clearly that happens) to show our relationship was legit. I had the same problem with calls (we used Tango) but simply included my phone records showing I sometimes called him and also called a lot of his family members. I just had my phone company provide me with a year's worth and then highlighted each number once and explained who that number belonged to. It by no means showed daily calls but I also explained that we used Tango for that.

We FINALLY received a PR card. After two long months of waiting and calling to see what was up (he landed Dec 29th). And just in time too. Hubby left for Jamaica yesterday because there was a death in his family. I will join him next week for the funeral. It is not under the greatest circumstances but I know he was looking forward to getting home for a visit and also get into the sun and heat for a bit! He had become an all-star shoveller by virtue of him being at home and the mass volume of storms this year. He will not miss it. It was actually quite hilarious because last night he told me he was really minding the heat! He is staying with a friend and I guess he said to him "it seems awfully hot today." His friend just laughed at him. A lot. I told him the first day in Jamaica is always the hardest in terms of adjusting to the heat without the luxury of A/C.

I got worried it might got lost lol ... I'm so praying for fast processing but I know it takes time... an with an exclusion order it might even be a longer processing :'(

Congrats on your application having been received which is a relief to know it has not been lost or misplaced.

I am pretty sure that regardless of processing times with an exclusion order it is mandatory that you wait out the exclusion period. Meaning that even if applications are being finalized in 6 months (miracle if that ever happens consistently for KGN) you need to wait the year for the exclusion order to be over. I may be wrong but that was my understanding of how it works. So Suzanne you do have a long wait ahead of you (is it one year exclusion order?) but at least you were able to spend a majority of those 8 years together in Canada already while he was here. Be patient it will come to an end at some point...

You are correct....they will need to wait out the exclusion order before his visa will be issued.

Welcome to the JAMFAM Npepper! Sammy and Lala are right, you need to ensure that you are filing correctly otherwise it will just cost you time, money and a ton of frustration. If you haven't been living with him continually you will not be able to successfully file conjugal or common law. As for the kids you should include them all with passports and medicals even if they are not accompanying him. In the future if he ever (or they ever) wants them to come they will not be considered. When I filed for my husband we didn't have his child's passport so we filed and I wrote a letter to include with the package saying that he is a non-accompanying minor and his passport and medical will follow at a later date. We sent it in about 3 months later with an explanation. When I received my notes I saw a note saying that "child is non accompanying but his passport and medical will follow as per the sponsor's letter of explanation". Then later notes I got showed that his medical and information was received and they assigned his son a UCI as well.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Thank you. I will. This is really a great forum, educational, motivational and interesting. Congratulations to everyone who's had some positive news from KGN. You give me hope.

Hi everyone, could someone please let me know if we need to send a money order to send a police certificate from the police station to kingston immigration? Thank you in advance.

Is the police station saying this? Normally you would pick it up and then send it to the Kingston office on your own. I wouldn't be sending any money to them

Yes his exclusion order is 1 year which Is up next January so I'm hoping it won't be much longer then that I'm just going too keep the faith.. I see many success stories then I see a few that got a run around..
congrats too the ones that got through :)

The thing is my husband doesn't live in Jamaica. So we are sending the fingerprints from the U.S. To Jamaica for the police check and we want the results mailed to immigration instead of returned to the U.S. I figured we need to send enough postage fees.

If this is the FBI check you send it to immigration you don't send it to the police station.

This is for the police clearance for Jamaica. Since he was living in Jamaica at one point. They are requesting it for all residences since age 18.

We're waiting for FBI to be complete. Pick up is March 12. I'm the meantime we are sending a set of fingerprints to Jamaica so that they can get started on the clearance on that end.

I see they changed another form on the application last month Feb and I sent my application in last month omg. It never updated on the system when I sent my application in and now it's going too slow down things because they will send the application back..

I'm not sure than because I know that you are supposed to pick up completed police checks at the station. Maybe try calling or emailing them to find out.

If your forms has been signed before the changes or during the same month, you should be OK. Usually there is always a grace periods, especially if it has been signed in the same month...call CIC in Mississauga to make sure : 1-888-242-2100
