Hey all!!
I'm breaking my silence this evening! ;D
Congrats MelJam and everyone else who has received great news!!
Today was the day! I went and picked up my package that contained my PP with that colourful VISA along with my CoPR and most of the supporting documents that we submitted with our application. It took 19 days from PPR to Passport Delivery for me and the wait was the most brutal I've ever encountered! Nonetheless I am eternally grateful to God!
He is forever faithful and I thank Him for all He has done in my life! :)
So, now I'm off to be with my beautiful wife and baby!

God is so GOOD! :')
Keep holding on to faith ladies and gentlemen, your time is just around the corner!
Speedy processing and happy marriages I wish for all! ;)
Thank you all for your advice (whether direct or indirectly provided) and the love that was shared on this thread! This forum is tremendously helpful and truly is a blessing!
God bless!

Thanks!! :)

I agree!! We need more word out of Kingston - and hopefully something specific for me!! I am actually stressing myself out that it is a no for us. Just seems so weird everyone else has heard something except us. Anyone have any thoughts on whether it takes longer to say no then yes? I can't imagine why they would deny us but I have no faith in CIC right now.

Hi Maty, if I remember good, the peoples who got PPR around your timeline was couples who they were about to have a baby and we realized Kingston fast track some of them. So I really don't know if you will receive news soon. Maybe it could take a few weeks again. I know 6 or 8 months processing is really unusual.

For real I think that your file is only on pending to be review...Does his PC is now expired (it is valid 9 months)....My husband did another one at 9 months waiting and I am happy now cause they extended medicals they did not request anything else when they called my husband for PPR.

Do you see any red flags to thinking that ur case could be declined?

Hubby has a new PC sitting on his desk - just waiting to send it in. Will likely wait until the New Year if we don't hear anything (he picked it up last week so I understand we can hold on to it for at least 2 months before sending in). I didn't want to send in and it get lost.

Hubby was married before (when he was super young) but otherwise pretty straightforward - no kids, known each other 6 years, married last year, he is 30 and I am 34. We had a big wedding (60 guests) in Las Vegas. Families have met, etc etc. We have travelled a lot together - he has a US visa and a Visa for Europe - in fact my family jokes that the only place he can't go is the Country where his wife lives.

One thing is that my friend is a lawyer and submitted the application on our behalf (so she is our representative). I spoke with a Permanent Resident I work with and he told me that he was called into an interview and the VO asked one question only - why did he hire a lawyer. He explained it was because his wife hadn't paid CDN taxes in 10 years (they lived in US together before heading back to Canada) and she said great and let him through. So I am beginning to think that my initial thought of having a lawyer do this (despite the fact that it was free) was not the way to go. Although that makes me very, very angry.

I think you are right MelJam - that I am not looking at the entire picture because everyone on this forum that is around my time is hearing things/getting through but that is abnormally fast. But I can't help stressing and wondering why we are being left behind.

OK so, I think you guys alright, the worst, maybe an interview will be required... :) Just be patient, I understand the wait is unbearable!

Does anyone can tell me if they return all our file including the police certificate when the process is done?
My husband could work at the airport since I have a contact there, but they told me they will require the police certificate to hire him...

We had everything returned except the application itself and the medical/police check. So we got back all proof, pictures, letters etc. He would be better off getting a new PC if that is the case Mel.

Hello JamFam and Happy Hump Day!

Maty - This whole process sucks without a doubt and it is the waiting and the unknown that drives you crazy. You are a little early to hear anything esp since most people's timelines seem to be between the 12-14 month mark. The worse case scenario is that you may need to have an interview but the way those are going the last few they pretty much stamp your visa right away if all their questions have been answered. Have you tried ordering your notes yet? Hang in there and keep positive.

Mel - I am curious as well to hear from those that have landed exactly what they do return with the spouse. If the original PC is not one of them then maybe it will be a good idea to have him go get one right away. Or will a photocopy work?

Oh ok thanks! :D
Thor, I really do not know if a copy is accepted, but my husband never take a copy when he sent the second...:S
But I guess it will be OK with the permanent residence card, I will advise them that he could have not travelling if he had criminal record since hes jamaican and cant traveilling with no visa. Probably that requirement is for new immigrant from other countries like France or what ever countries who can travel to Canada with no visa...so I not worry about it.
