I would have to say that ECAS isn't always reliable. Our screen has said "Decision Made" since we received our sponsorship approval. The best method of figuring out where your file is to just order your notes.

The decision made is for the sponsorship approval. For your hubby it would say application received, then in process and then decision made

When I log in with my UCI it has said decision made since June 2013. Again. That is for SA

Ok I meant to say it says IN PROCESS.

You wouldn't have "in process" if you just applied this past may. It would say application received for your spouse.

In process means they are ready to ask for the passport and they've made a decision on your file and will issue the visa. Then it would do to decision made

Sorry but I'm not sure if I understand correctly. The snapshot is the info I'm seeing for my husbands side of the application. My side says ive been approved as a sponsor ect.

This table is what I have been considering as our current status. (In process). Is that what you use or is this a generic table?

Maybe I'm not understanding you....you applied in May of this year. Your husbands should say application received. If it says in process then yes they are working on your file. Your side will say decision made and will always say that under your name. In my post above I have the steps on how your husbands will look in the different stages

What you sent was the definitions of the different steps and what they all mean

Also if meds are received but the first box shown is in process, does that mean I'm just at that phase

To follow up on this. Because meds are received doesn't mean you are in process. Mine says meds received however my notes still show us "in progress" not "in process" you will only go in process when they are ready for your passport.

Ok since this is just definitions of the steps, is there something else I should be considering to view my status? Or do you use this and wait for updates?

Ecas should be updated when they go onto the next step but it isn't always. Yes you should order your notes but since you just applied I would wait as they most likely haven't done anything to your file. They are working on files from 2013 right now. I found out this info when I ordered my notes and say an email to my MP requesting and update on my file. They work on them in 3 months bunches....or so they say

This is a long process and all you need to do is sit and wait. It SUCKS and it shouldn't take this long at all but it does. Look at me...16 months waiting and they just started working on my file. I still don't know how long I have to wait. It's all part of the unknown with this process

As for viewing your status use Ecas and also your notes when you order them

Thank you. I emailed Kingston VO at 9:05 this morning concerning my Police Certificate which was done on Dec. 04, 2013. They responded at 9:58 to say that it is valid for one (1) year.
