GUESS WHO FINALLY LANDED!!!!

I am so sorry I went silent for a while but I was going insane waiting more than I had to AND my friend I wanted to surprise joined this site. I was keeping it a secret from all my friends so I can surprise them and video tape it all!!

I have surprised 4 people so far!! Caught them all on video!

And that is all she wrote!

Hi guys,

Do we have to inform CIC about speeding, parking tickets ( from New Zealand) and what if we have some due parking fines with ministry of justice ?

Congrats Janadian Mrs :D... I love the recap and the play- by -play ... Lol ... I think we should all write a re- cap, after being in this process so long, we tend to forget the details :P

One question ... You mentioned you had a ' abstract...' Please explain , I am lost as to what this means ???

I loved the re-cap too that's why I copied DG. (Thanks for the idea DG. New Kingston Forum tradition?!)

The abstract is to tell insurance companies or the driver's licensing places in Canada how many years driving experience as well as if there have been any accidents and such. Basically Driving history. I think he said it was the main police station he had to go to and get it which is why he went to KIN instead of his local one. ** NOTE BIEN** if they have any un paid tickets they have to be payed before they will give your other half the abstract. You may also need a SPECIFIC company name for them to address it to, or they will not give it to them.

Question to be asked if I may,

My husbands medicals will expire within the next couple weeks(as per the 12 months being valid) ~ how do we find out if it will be extended or if we have to re-do them?

Also, how do we order "papers" to find out possibly where we are in the process.

Thanks so much in advance for your help

You can email Kingston and see if they will answer you about your medical and if they will extend it/has been extended. They will extend it if it's with in 15 months of it being done and if a valid medical is all you need for PPR ( this is what happened to us. They extended ours but no PPR yet).

I posted on here awhile ago how to get order your notes. I will find that and post again. Your spouse will need to sign a form allowing you to order them though. All that info will be on the website

How to Order the notes

Here is what another member wrote out on how to get them and also a video that another forum member posted

http://youtu.be/j_E_dq_uLVo

Here is a previous post regarding GCMS notes:

GCMS notes (Global Case Management System) are notes that are made on your file. The Sponsor can order them online or by mail for $5 and the Applicant has to sign a consent form. They take 30 calendar days (sometimes longer) to be sent to the Sponsor once they are ordered.

A lot of people order the GCMS notes if they have been in the process (around a year) and haven't heard anything from Kingston. It is also a good idea to order them if you are scheduled for an interview.

Should you choose to order the notes, here is the link to the CIC website:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-atip.asp

Side note: it is entirely possible that the visa officer working on your application may not update the GCMS notes so do not be discouraged if you order them and there is limited information in them
