OK my next question: How did you go about getting Private Health insurance for your spouses?

Is there a company that you recommend?

You can just call up a company and a rep is willing to even come to you.
3 companies I know of that are good are: Sunlife, Great West Life and Manulife

I just wanted to say that it is pleasing to see a forum so clean and motivating! I have been reading the posts for a while, I too am sponsoring my spouse, and I must say this forum is very helpful. Keep it up!!

I also wanted to pray for everyone who is still waiting for their spouse:

Heavenly father, we bless you this day. We lift your name on high. We Glorify your name! Jesus today, we pray for peace, joy and happiness. We pray for a calm in the eye of the storm. We pray for loved ones and families near and far. Lord, we ask in your Mighty and Matchless name to reunite families and bring husbands and wives together just as you ordained it from the very beginning of time. have a killer headache, just trying to pass time until the T3s i took kick in lol.... hubby had his road test earlier this week and passed easily... so now we're shopping for a people mover.. 7 seater hopefully, but might have to settle for 5 for now...

Thanks Chelley... No tickets booked yet. Hubby had to complete a few things before he's en route to Canada. So it may still be a couple months but at least HE IS coming home. Thanks be to God!

the weather is beautiful....Jamaica weather and I'm lovin it! 8) Too bad I don't have a pool lol oh well, we can't have everything! I'd rather have hubby but that won't happen for awhile. I checked the processing time for the sponsorship applications in Mississauga CPC...as of April/10 the average wait time is 56 days. So I will be waiting until the end of July for that. It doesn't give me hope of hubby getting his PRV as fast as HF or chelley's went.

oh well, it is what it is....hard! lol

I am just in the beginning stages of sponsoring my husband so I'm praying to one day experience that same excitement. How have your husbands adjusted to the weather out here? Mine is terrified of coming in the Winter but I told him theres a good possibility of that happening. . . ;D

Hi everyone and congrats to all who have reached their destination. I sent off my package on Friday. It says that it takes an average 56 days regarding the sponsorship, I am just wondering does those days include weekends too.

I think it does include weekends iambless....I just sent mine on May 18 and it was to arrive there the next day. So I'm right there waiting with you...we are virtually on the same timeline
