I was just wondering if anyone else is addicted to this forum and hearing news from Kingston that they check it hourly? Am I the only one? ??? ???

Usually........ :( if you have an officer that updates his/her files then when you go into process, you usually hear from them a week or so after in process as they usually need another document from you or it is PPR....more often then not, people go into process and they send for additional documents, not too often is it ppr but it has been known to happen so we can't rule it out lol

In our case, my hubby's criminal check expired in January so I know he is going to have to re-do it.
I have encouraged him since January to get it re-done but he just says we should relax and wait for Kingston to request it from us.
I am thinking that we are listed as In Process as they are going to request a new criminal check.

Greengurl I would suggest that him do his PC asap so that when they do request it you can just send it and they will have it the next day. Having said that if he is in KGN area then I guess he can just do the next day service and it will just cost more. If he cannot get to KGN then he should do it now bc I believe another member posted that the fastest that they can do it is 5 o 7 days in MoBay for example. Or if you do the 21 day service it will save some money. Just IMO.

I agree whole heartedly. I have been contacted privately by a few members who got their PC redone once it expired and were able to avoid the delay caused by kingston asking for it. Hubby was in the process of getting PC redone when we got the request and I sincerely wish we had already done it bc he might have already gotten ppr.

Thanks and I totally agree with you! I would love for him to re-do his PC but he refuses to go and get it done until it is requested of him. He is aware of the cost and the added time by waiting until they request it. Believe me, we have had many arguments about this! He says we shouldn't do anything without their request and when it's our time, they will request it.

Lol your hubby is just being hard... He can do it... Since its not the medical he can... But with the medical I would suggest he waits.. Because then again you don't know if its extended or not.. But police check can't..

I agree medical can be extended and you can get it pretty quickly too. PC may take longer. Hopefully he will be less stubborn and decide to go do it so that you will have it when KGN comes-a-calling for it. Good luck!
