Don't they advise you to wait because if they have already verified your police check, it is not required again to issue a visa unless they request it? Medicals are the only valid check required to leave the country? I'm asking because I'm not sure.

You need to have a valid police check to land in Canada. If your police check has expired and they request PPR you will need to hand in another police check. This can add more wait time on your end....getting police check done, sending it in with passport and then Kingston verifying it. You are better redoing it and holding onto it or have hubby send to Kingston.

The medical I would wait for them to email you asking you to redo it because in many cases it's extended.

Ahhh yes. I mean it makes sense to NEED the check thats why I was confused when someone told me (not our immigration person) that we wouldn't need it again after they've verified it. It didn't sound right to me.

Thank you everyone for helping us out.

I think I'll have him go and get one done by end of march (that's when ours expires)

This is wrong Hun....well the costs anyways

Express is 6000.00 and 21 days is 3000.00. They need to update the website.

Reg service (non express) is now $3000. My hubbie just got his done. Don't know what express is now. And as we all know u don't have to go to Kingston for it. My hubbie had his done in Montego Bay.

Sammy, Mrsbrown, o&o; these numbers you posted make MUCH more sense. I was sure hubby paid about 6000-8000 for his. Darn outdated website! lol

And you're right, Kingston is NOT the only place to go. Hubby got his done in MoBay as well! :P
