Awesome news jammywife; it definitely means your file is in process; not sure how long it will take because Kingston does their own thing. But as Chickie has mentioned before they set brought forward dates after asking for information so it could be from 30 -90 days after submitting your medicals you hear from them.

Hubby is having meds redone on Friday and sending them straight back - so hopefully the file is still in someones hands lol
would be nice to get great news on his approval.

One other question: how will I know if an interview is required or not?

under check your application status on CIC website - to the left you can change your address.. just update your email address for future communications...at least that way - you can let hubby know immediately when they request something .

Would they always email first for every request? Including an interview?

eligibility is done first and for most.....they wouldn't ask you to do meds redo before an interview.......pretty sure 99% that you wont be asked for an interview! ;D

Good morning Kingston......big ups to our ladies working on all our files. May the good lord above give you an extra push today to make some peoples dreams and hopes come alive! Send back those passports......Ask for some ppr's especially for the 2012 people (myself included) I have been away from my husband far too long.....i can't take the time off to go see him so you need to send him home to me. It has been 23 months now since he went back to JA and I do believe that is long enough! For Daddy's Girl too......send her the PPR request, she needs her hubby too!

I would assume if they have your email address on file they would request it that way being the most effecive means/

I have a question Is it possible for a Jamaican to fly from Kingston to Toronto with a layover of 3hrs and a connecting flight with the same airline at ATL even though the person doesn't have a US visa? I see many cheap flights that's why I am curious. If anyone has done this or knows that will be great thanks.

And if not you can email them telling them you just updating the application with your/hubby email address to contact you or hm via email. Nd you put the email address. Send it to kingston. You put the file number, hubby's name, DOB, etc..

Ok if you put yours, they will send information to yours then. I just upddate them with my husband email address and they have mine also
