I checked email yesterday and The Lord Answered My Prayers...

Immigration is requesting medicals be redone (they have expired)
So I am hoping this is an extremely good sign....means they are at least hands on the file now...Right ?
Once the medicals are done and sent back...any ideas on how long it would take (No one knows the true answer - but any guesstimates?)

I am over the moon today! Kingston is back on the train!

Awesome news jammywife; it definitely means your file is in process; not sure how long it will take because Kingston does their own thing. But as Chickie has mentioned before they set brought forward dates after asking for information so it could be from 30 -90 days after submitting your medicals you hear from them.

Hopefully sooner though; all the best! ;D

• former common-law partners.

Yes that is the one and make sure you get a copy of the mothers valid id with it....we forgot this and had to send it in again later.

That is good news!... I would be glad to hear anything at this point... 1 year tmr since I started this process. ( application Rec'd in Missisauga)... Transferred to Kgn Feb. 18, 2013...

Yahhhhhh that is definitely good news and good news to hear they seem to be working on it.....they will put a bring forward date on your file now...probably I am guessing they gave you 60 days to submit everything right? so they will go back into your file after that and continue working on it, if nothing else is needed then they will ask for PPR! ;D

I did not fill this out ( for step daughter), indicated that she ( all her info incl. on application, medical done) would be coming at a later date... Just wondering if it was in Step 1, when you sent the application to Missisauga, that they asked u for it?

well first time I met his day in 2009 he was very hard on me and didn't like my tattoos. His mom has always loved me and always tells me. We talk on the phone a lot. I love his little sister. Now his dad is good. All his aunts and uncles like me some love me lol His Grandma is a sweet lady I just love her to bits. We don't stay with his family when I am there but we make sure we visit often.

there has only been one cousin of his that I haven't got a long with but things are working out between her and I. She made a comment that I didn't like after we were married.

My husband and my mom are close I love it! they talk on the phone all the time he will call her knowing I am not there just to say hi. She always tells me he is a good guy.

He gets along with my 2 cousins and 2 of my friends that came down for the wedding. One of my friends is dating a Jamaica and they have a baby together last year we would go visit them often every few days and that's pretty much how baby talk started happening again lol My husband just loves her little boy. he always tells me he wants a little boy like him lol

My friends here cant wait to meet him tell me all the time.

The first time no!. He's more loviing now, I guess because we went through so much. But when I first met him,he was more settled. Now he's more miserable , he's insecure and worries a lot.

well you are supposed to send it in with your application which we did but after it got to Kingston it was noticed that copy of mothers id was not with it so they asked for her id.

I am still soaking up the sunshine; and my little man turned 3 years old yesterday.

Definitely leaving this time will be so hard for him because he told me his dad is his best friend.

Unfortunately, my hubby's parents have both died... I get along great with everyone in his family especially my step daughter , she is so loving and respectful ( brother's, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins... Even the neighbours)... I am so attached to his nieces & nephews, that I always bring something for them whenever I go ( nic- nac's from the dollar store, toys, a clothing item)

My parents and his family were friends long before we got involved, so this relationship was already established... I am glad that this bond has already been established ,he calls them just to check in, and he even visits my parents ( in JA) from time to time to bring them ( yam,pumpkin, Calaloo, cabbage, etc)

He has met some of my relatives and friends ( living in Canada) , during the wedding, and we all got the chance to hang out, because we planned some group activities while they were there ( Dunn's River, games night, etc)

So grateful that we all get along

Awww I love it! Game nights are intensely awesome, I find, while playing with Jamaicans. VERY ANIMATED! LOL I've had an intense session of chess while in Ja in November LOL!

Mine is kinda similar.. Only thing his family is kind of "opputunist" they like you when you can give them things. And I'm the kind of person very blunt ill tell them to their face. Its like your not with the husband your with the family!!! Dem love beg!!! Hate that man, and they don't know how you survive in canada.. Jamaican people " mi bruk, a beg yuh a thing" wth!? Them always bruk and when you see them at parties and things you would think twice. On the other hand me and hubby dad is different... Him and his dad are alike, just quiet. Don't run into people.

Hubby met my family and my fam loves him..
We met 2011, got into a car accident coming from "chug it" and he was in coma for 1 and half month.. Didn't remember anything. Didn't even remember I existed. And then some of his family memembers tried to *censored word* up his head. But one thing that made him remember! He has mt name tattooed on his left hand, he woke up assking who is this girl on his arm and said he wanted to speak with me, knowin he has a name on his hand, but dnt know the person. He could only remember his past relationship but nothin previous!! (Should I tell you, the old girlfriend try to get back!! Dwl) and he said no, its not your name on my hand is someone else.. Picked up the phone and call me, asking if I'm the girl on his hand, said yes! When finally statted to refresh his memory, the next week I booked my ticket and went back down... He was surprised and also scared because he doesn't trust noone! Spent 2 weeks and came back.. Went again the following year and that's when I got pregnant.. And from then to now we still trying to hold on, since we went through so much..

And up to these days he can hardly remember but I'm the head and he's the body!!!

I'm sorry to hear what your husband had to go through it's like he is learning everything once again. Wonderful he's healing after all this you both have gone through. All the best to you both to get through this journey together.

AWW wow - I'm so glad he's doing much better and glad that he had a piece of you to remind him about you! I know about the 'beggy beggy' stuff - not so much hubby's fam or mine but other individuals who I don't really know. I have a soft heart though so if I have it to give, I do.

Thank you. He's trying to cope. But each day he tries to remember and ask about the accident. Because he lost his friends in the crash too
