LMFAO!!!!Mrs. Parkin said:So!!! Anyone else see that Toronto has a new Jamaican in town? Rob Ford has made us all so proud...again...
Did you guys see him chatting up in Patwah!?! man...wacko...
On the brightside maybe this will be broadcast in JA and it will remind Kingston they need to send the REAL Jamaicans to us to avoid imposters!
NO WAY!!!! My step dad is Jamaican and I have obviously been back and forth to and from Jamaican a multitude of times... that being said, apparently my patois is shocking good. My husband always has me send him voice notes and has his friends listen and they say: "Nah man, your wife is white, that's not her" so he makes me send a video saying the same thing and apparently jaws drop. The down side... I get accosted to constantly speak it until I become a defiant little white girl and I will continue to speak it, but I will only speak it with a canadian accent. In turn, it makes them laugh uncontrollably and they tell me I sound like a tourist... to which I respond: "I AM A TOURIST!!!" and we all start laughing.CanadianWifey89 said:Bahhaha - My parents are born Jamaicans...speak patois to me every single day..I've been to and from Jamaica since I was a wee lad...and my patois is HORRID ???!
LOL - Hubby says I sound too "dainty" and I can work for the queen of England : lol!

there is a form that you have to submit with your application that the mother signs and the JP signs saying she agrees to the child coming to Canada.tessi68 said:a letter needs to be prepared by the ex. mother of my stepson, she resides abroad - left over 6 years ago, and my husband has been raising his son on his own. She is in agreement that he joins us and so I am sponsoring him too, of course. Can't wait, awesome boy with manners..ever notice how well behaved kids are there compared to ours lol.
my question is what needs to be on the letter, there was no formal arrangements, she just left on a work visa to the US and never returned!!
Anyone have advise for me...btw my husband and son had a good medical exam yesterday. almost there, just going thru the checklist for the 50th or so time.
I have DEFINITELY noticed that...and I know my hubby (especially) would expect our kids to act the same!tessi68 said:Can't wait, awesome boy with manners..ever notice how well behaved kids are there compared to ours lol.
