only a Canadian citizen can order the gcms notes, so it would have to be the sponsor that applies for them. I sent you all the information and links in a pm to help you out, you will have to sign the consent form but you can email him a scanned copy of it so it can go thru faster if you are able to do that or maybe fax the consent over to him.
Yes I will.

Good Evening Everyone!

Hope we here some good news this week!!! it's been a while ::)

Does anyone know if my husband can drive in Ontario with his Jamaican license or will he have to do all the testing again once he gets here?

Z
yes he can drive up here for a little while on his jamaican license. It is a good idea if before he comes to canada he gets his record from the tax office down there and if he brings that to the license place here then he will automatically get his G2 instead of the G2entrance thing or something along those lines.

I think he cab switch it over. From once its a international drivers license. Not sure if he has to do test from G1.

http://www.jamaicatax-online.gov.jm/motorvehiclefaqs.html#international

on this link it says he can apply for an international license which allows him to drive for one year in a foreign country and there is no extra cost.

Ahhh.... LivnKani... that adorable that you think we have it all together (I'm not trying to be condescending, I'm just teasing a little). We are as lost as you are. Some of us cry ourselves to sleep, some of us lash out at others because of frustration, and some of us do both... I'm sure there are ways of coping that I haven't mentioned as everyone is different. I'm happy to know that we appear to be okay, when in reality, we're all crumbling inside. There isn't a day that goes by when my heart doesn't break a little more that I am not with my husband. I get to see him every 3 months or sooner and I STILL don't function well in society.

We are here for each other, so when we feel alone, we come on here. I had to try very hard to see any positive rather than negative and the way I see my current waiting situation, another day passed is another day sooner that I can be with hubby.

I encourage you to visit here more often. Please vent your frustrations if you need to or read up on positive stories of others. My husband is angry and can be very mean and detached and it hurts and I can guarantee you that prior to this forum, I would have had no idea how to handle him because all I want is for him to whine and cry with me, but instead he gets angry that he cannot make it better. And I posted a couple of blurbs on here about it and a lot of members swooped in to encourage me that I am not alone on that part.

We are not living in sunshine in roses, though we may have it appear that way.

Please remember LivnKani, that you my friend, are very loved by us, even if it's only online. :-* **HUGS**
[/quotes

Ninirae...

Thanks for the words of encouragement, I do agree that I can be supported by those who get it!
I will try my best to do less lurking and more talking....but believe it or not I'm a shy chick! As for the
crying yourself to sleep....I know all too well how that feels. When I'm there I start balling from a few days
before I leave straight up until I get home and for days after. How many of you wait until the very last minute to
board your flight because you can't stand to know you have to leave your husband behind? I usually
HATE that ride to the NMA...n e ways thanks again..hugs right back at'cha :-*

Welcome to the JAMFAM LivnKani!! I am fairly new as well to this forum. Hang in there as it is a hard and bumpy road that we have all chosen, but at some point it will come to an end and our spouses will be here with us!!

Thanks for the welcome. ..I'm hoping it won't be a long journey.
If it is, then I'll just have to wait it out, this is one ride I'm not willing to jump off!

Liv :)

LivnKani. I too read daily but don't talk as often. I understand your frustration as everyone here. Sometimes it's difficult as people seem to be so upbeat here. Please remember anytime people seem that way , it's because it's the little piece of sanity we're all holding on to. No one in our life understands the anxiety of this process like our forum friends. We all have our own little fears like the long time, no response, medicals, criminal checks, Arc's etc etc etc. At the end of the day whether we talk or just read, we all have the comfort of knowing we're all in the same waiting game Take comfort in knowing the forum is here for all of us . Have a good day.
Thanks Mrs Davis! It's great to know I'm not alone in this alone, constant worrying and obsessing over the time frame.
Like why can't KGN be like CPC and update the file so people don't lose their minds...guess that would be too much to ask.
I mean they want so much from us but yet they can't do something as simple as an update.
