Your hubby will soon be in your arms, Maybe for Christmas or New year? It gives me hope to have hubby with me sooner if possible but next holiday season for the latest because we filed our application in March 2013.

Good evening to everyone first I must say CONGRATS NEV CONGRATS!!!!!!!! ,I don't want to get anyone down with my news but I spoke with a member online already she advise me when am ready to post there is support for me thank you,just remember guys that every body situation is different ok so get sadden by anyone else denial ok. My application was denied base on my refugee claim I made and the fact that I entered the country in a wrong name. For my friends with the age different you are ok they never say nutin about my relationship it was just about the refugee so they wanted a ARC which they never request.at the bottom of the letter it stated that I am inadmissible to CDN as an ARC was not submitted, guys they never ask for one. Another thing can you believe that the decision was made from Oct 16, and if my lawyer never send an e-mail to get an update of the application status I would be sitting and waiting until (Jesus come lol figure of speech)my lawyer is so pissed my husband is devastated I cried my eyes out the kids cried because they see me crying, my lawyer said that one case has nutin to do with the other because I complied with the rule I never over stayed my time I got 30 days to leave the country after my refugee claim was failed I leave so he said I didn't need one an officer signed me out when I left I wasn't in any detention center I wasn be escorted ont the plane my pp was placed in my hands if I wanted to went back through those airport doors I could have and to be honest it was tempting to go through the doors after kissing my husband and watching him leave,but I complied with every rules I was honest and this is what honesty brings.But the appeal will start soon my husband going to meet with the lawyer tomorrow to start the paper works so this is another journey it took them almost two years to figure out I needed an ARC so the fight just begin with me. My husband PLAN ON COMING NXT YEAR. Please my friends please don't be discouraged ok,not sure if anyone has a similar case to mine would be happy for them to share.WOF our appeal starts I wish you best of luck also ok am jsu gonna hang in there and keep the faith,these people try to break us they try to send us over the edge but I wont allow them am stronger than them am ready to fight.

Our God is might and He will not give us anything we cannot bear continue being strong and having faith cause He is not going to leave your side Him ago carry you thru fa sure there's hope, so don't give up

As Nev was saying there might not people who applied common law in kingston but there was one in POS forum that u could ask questions too. Unfortunately they were denied not because of the genuineness of the relationship but because of the proof of common law. Hope this helps, congrats on the little bun in the oven!!!

Hey guys I'm new to the forum but I have been reading some of the post and have found them to be very helpful.

I have been a Canadian Citizen for a number of years now but was leaving in Jamaica. I came back to Canada in Oct 2013 and I want to sponsor my common-law spouse to come here. We were living together for the pass two years and I am now seven months pregnant.

I am in the process of filling out the applications (sooooo stressful and time consuming!!!) but I would like to know if I should wait until I have our child before I send in the application so that I can submit the baby's birth paper just to show that we have a child together or should I just submit them now (cuzzz I really dnt want to wait too long...cuz that means that it would take him longer to get here). This would be our first child. He applied for his TRV but was denied, we were hoping he would have been here for the birth. We could try again but I honestly feel it maybe a waste of time and we should just go ahead with his PR application.

I know he will need to do medical and police check but does his parents or any of his siblings (aged 12 and 14) have to do it as well, being that he will be the only one coming here rite now...I just a little confused here.

We dnt have much pictures together bcuz we lost most of them when my fone crashed...but we have a few..is 15-20 pictures sufficient, we have call history and sms history, joint bank account, lease agreements, western union remittance slips, Skype history, a few emails........well the car was in my name only so I guess that wont be necessary to include....letters from family and friends confirming our relationships. Are these sufficient??

And does anyone know a good immigration officer that can look over my application and guide me that wont charge me and arm and a leg within the North York area.

Plz help!!!!!!
