Only fair to see our fellow 2012 get their PPR and their PP returned quickly with the coveted shiny visa in it!!!! Then the 2013 applicants will be processed as well.

You have to show that you are working at the time of sponsorship and include an 'Option C' printout from your income tax last year.

If you do not have an Option C, you can request one from CRA.

If you were on public assistant (not disability or EI), you must include any stubs from the previous 12 months when you were on assistance. And CIC KNOWS, so you can't lie.

Hi Ninirae, I just wanted to clarify this answer for you and the new member, a bit of a delayed reply, sorry for that. A spousal sponsor does not necessarily have to show they are working at the time of sponsorship. The option C does need to go with the application and it will show the prior years income, if any. As long as the sponsor is not on social assistance at the time of sponsoring, as you mentioned; however, disability and EI are fine.

A lot of times non-working students actually sponsor their spouse and they may even live with their parents and in those cases they submit parental documents/financial statements showing that they will be supported by parents or other family members. Blessings.

Here is some information regarding GCMS notes:

GCMS notes (Global Case Management System) are notes that are made on your file. The Sponsor can order them online or by mail for $5 and the Applicant has to sign a consent form. They take 30 calendar days (sometimes longer) to be sent to the Sponsor once they are ordered.

A lot of people order the GCMS notes if they have been in the process (around a year) and haven't heard anything from Kingston. It is also a good idea to order them if you are scheduled for an interview.

I always used a credit card when I ordered my notes online.

To follow up on what Nev said regarding payment. You can't use Visa Debit....can only be normal credit card or a prepaid credit card.

I was crying like a baby when i read your PPR post, so i told my husband to expect more tears when i read your landing story I was feeling a bit down this week, as we hadn't had any news unlike the week before, but kingston truly saved the best for last this week! Chickie and DG you ladies are next, so bring out those extra winter jackets and gloves because your hubbies/families will be cold when they land

I have had so many highs and lows throughout this journey and I don't know what I would have done without the Jam Fam. This time of year is so hard to be separated from our loved ones. I think there should be an immigration rule that there must be at least one PPR a day leading up to Christmas.

I am looking forward to sharing hubby's and my landing story...I promise I'll try and make you cry for that one too! We're both getting excited for his first flight. I'm even happier that we'll be flying together and I don't have to leave without him.

This past week carried great news for some and not so happy announcements from others. The individuals still waiting feel the sting of this wait even more than usual.. Not because they are "bad mind" but because they are human. It makes you feel like "when will it be my turn.. I am happy for so and so, but when God when? You might even shed a tear or two. You might swear.. it is ok. You see, the test of time never changes-how long can you hold on in the face of disappointment? There is a special person here I would like to send this message. You know who you are - The good news is not here yet but when it comes the joy will surpass any low feeling you now feel inside your gut. At this point I shift from telling you that you are next for at some point this can come across as condescending, or appear as though we offer you our pity. I really admire you..very few folks I can honesty say this to. I am rooting for you too. I know when the news come I will shed a tear or two..I am doing so now. I also feel that your husband and his kids are blessed to have met you. When we desire the same thing that you desire for yourself the universe cannot do anything else but release it.. Praise your way out.. before you know the cock and the hen will be surrounded by the chickens.. if you don't have religious/spiritual views this post is not meant to offend you but just offering another reminder to a special person that Jah is in control... keep holding on friend.
