Your opinions, I really want to move this Visa application along but just can't get organized to get a wedding put together for November too much presure, so i was thinking November go down for a short stay marry just at the court house, that way i could get the papers into the Quebec government then by January i could have a "propre" wedding and hand in the application to the visa office of Canada. Any thought bad idea, ok, or good?

Thanks in advance for your opinions.
hey there sis.......how are you doing.......if you going to do a quick wedding best thing to go is a the RGD (Registre General Department) office in the parish your husband live......once you do it the you just pay for the package and they do everything for you. pust they will look about the marriage certificate for you also so you wont have to do anything at all. that would be your best bet....Just get your husband to check it out and get all the information so you and him can be prepared for it......i hope this help

Hello JS, we had a small wedding, not courthouse but at my mother-law's home. CIC is used to smaller and courthouse weddings as cost is prohibitive for many couples when one partner is doing all of the travelling. Just make sure you explain your rationale and reasoning in the application and include photos of the day as well as other photos showing the evolution of your relationship over time. Get a set for yourselves and one for immigration (sometimes they return them & sometimes they do not). Write names on the back and who the people are in relation to you and your groom.

We will likely do another wedding or vow ceremony here after my husband lands so that my friends and family can join in. Again a common theme with overseas/foreign marriages.

We also did not honeymoon (explained this as well) as we both had to get back to work and we wanted to wait until we had more time, more money and no immigration stress on our heads. As long as you connect all of the dots in your application you will be fine. I am always of the opinion to do a very good job on the application and get it in sooner rather than later. Blessings.

that how you have to treat them for sure at the airport........alot of ppl dont know there is tricks and trade to traveling....it not just buying a ticket and go jump on a plane....there is alot of things ppl have to know about travel for sure and when you know your right about things you get harrass a bit less.

cog, you have touched my heart on this forum. This immigration journey is so hard. When you said that your wife has found someone else I felt your pain. At times my husband and I would get into it and don't talk for days I would feel so awful inside because it's so hard were not seeing each other everyday to make things better. It just makes things worst. That's why I just lurk. This process just drains everything out of you. I am a true true believer in God and I know that he is going to sort out your marriage don't give up. You are in my prayers .

I also would like to let the forum fam know that my hubby is going to pick up his passport at dhl I hope tomorrow. We are finally finish. This was the hardest thing I had to deal with in my life, but I am so thankful for this lesson from God I learned a lot. The most important thing, TRUST OUR FATHER, Never lose faith in him, patience ... I have to say it again patience. I never had patience before and I got the chance to study my husband. If my husband had came sooner we probably wouldn't last. God timing is the best. He knew what he was doing. The wait was long and if I had to do it again I would do it in a heartbeat. No regrets

My hubby has two funerals that he wants to attend so he won't be landing until after the 19th. Next month is going to be a year since I've seen him and i would want him to come this weekend but he wants to give his friends support during their time of lost. If he had decided to come he wouldn't be the man that I feel In love with, so what's an extra week. When I said I do I didn't really know what love was but now I can say I do and I'm still willing to learn more about my rass. I think I passed Gods test

I wish everybody best of luck and your all in my prayers. Phone are going to be ringing Monday morning I declare that in Jesus nam

Congratulations samll1 :D!! You made it and so happy you are finished. The journey is long and very draining. We have no choice but to develop patience and cry out to God for his help so we can endure. I think if a couple can survive this, they have a great foundation to build upon for the future. Blessings and looking forward to the landing story.

Fellas,

I just came across a thread which discussed about Immunization of children. This is one aspect of migration that did not cross my mind.

Bringing this to your notice. Immunization record of a child is an important document that is required while getting your child admitted to Schools.
