I tAke it all the time. It might be specific to country though. But I've never seen anywhere where u couldn't take it. If you can't. The worst that can happen ? Customs officers have nice chunk white tuna for lunch that day!!

lol.... thanks danielle902, I am pretty sure it will be fine but I may call customs, just in case. I somehow do not want customs officers having a free lunch at my expense !! Blessings.

Who do they request the extension from ? The doctor that did the medical? How would anyone else know the person is "fit" enough for the extension.

Good question Danielle, as no one would know at this point it they were "fit" enough. I believe the extension is simply an internal CIC practice to allow for the completion of processing after everything else on the file is ready for final sign off. Over the years CIC received many, many complaints on the meds expiring after a year as it was no fault of the applicants, yet they were stuck having to re-do and pay for them again. Blessings.

I took the time to get my nexus card. It's a trusted traveller system that is run by homeland security in the USA. But you can use it when entering back into Canada. I use it every time I come home and I haven't been bothered by customs since. It is excellent. Although it is 50 bucks to get (well worth the money) it DOES take 6 months to process it. You apply online. It is an extensive application. Probably took 30- 45 mins to fill out for me. You have to go back to every place you have lived since 18 and every job u had in the last 10 years.

I would do it over again if I had to. also saves time on cross border shopping.

Yeah I looked into that one time but man trying to remember all that would be crazy but true yes it would be worth the 50 bucks!

CoG, please hang in there. I am praying for you specifically and for all of the marriages being tested by this immigration process. We and our spouses are going through anguish and turmoil as we wait for strangers to determine our future. It is not for the faint-hearted and as you already posted - it is always darkest before the dawn.

Lawd your not kidding..my husband has teeth like a raptor...lol All thats left of the cane is dust when he gets done with it...same as chicken bone...my mother in law can make short work of beef bone..STRONG teeth for real...lol

I'm sorry to hear your going through hard times, it's so hard to be far away from our support system, stay strong and start cleaning when ever i get frustrated i clean my house looks like I'm a germ aphobe. lol.

Your opinions, I really want to move this Visa application along but just can't get organized to get a wedding put together for November too much presure, so i was thinking November go down for a short stay marry just at the court house, that way i could get the papers into the Quebec government then by January i could have a "propre" wedding and hand in the application to the visa office of Canada. Any thought bad idea, ok, or good?
