I guess you're all right. Kingston does get back to work in September! Glad to see the progress for all you 2012 applicants!
My one year anniversary today! Yey! lol Hopefully we can celebrate together next year... everyone... have a great day!

Happy Anniversary Mrs. Davis! Also for Maddants! I am missing him so much on his birthday today, It was good to talk to him on the phone to wish him a happy birthday, but I would prefer to be with him to celebrate, that will have to be the next time around

My lawyer i hired said the website that says 20 months is for about 80 percent of the applicants the other 20 get approved in less than a year becuz the immigration officers get paid by how many applications they finish.. but unfortunately... the more difficult and complicated your case is the longer it will take

Sorry to say but if they got paid by how many apps they finish then we wouldn't be in the middle of a wage strike for more hourly pay! LOL and if this were true all our hubbys would be home right now and they wouldnt sit on sooooooo many applications! LOL

Hey Chickie! I did not make it to JA. I still have 3 1/2 weeks vacation left, just wondering what I am going to do and when to take it. I am careful of work commitments so I don't book myself up. I am going to have to make a decision soon to use my vacation time up as I need to take it before the second week of December rolls around. In January, I get another 5 weeks to take for the year of 2014 and have lots of time for that to chose what month a days. I was saving my 3 1/2 weeks for Maddants arrival to stay home with him etc. But if Kingston doesn't get back to us i the near future, plans for vacation has to be use so may start looking into cheap flights to travel to see him again. I am glad Maddants interview is over and am just praying for the best. I got one more idea in mind and have started something. I will let you know what is up at a later date, once I have done it. I have a scheming mind! LOL! lata friend!

Question with the way Digicel works you don't really get a phone bill and my phone bill is through my work so i don't get one, soooo how due ya'll prove the relationship other then tickets to JA? and maybe txt BBM messages but not sure how to pull them from my phone?
No email he dosn't have a Computer.

My husband uses digicel as well. We contacted customer care and were able to order the last three months of phone records. They only have the latest 3 months though. He had to go to Montego Bay to pick them up directly there as well. Good luck

Hi everyone. No movement on my file yet. 6 months today since we filed. I have a question on behalf of a friend who is about to apply to sponsor her husband. Her hubby has a you g son who she is not sponsoring but she says she still needs to have a medical done for him and apply for a passport for him. If this is the case it will take another 3 weeks at least until she gets the sons passport. She wonders if she can apply with her hubby's application (which is complete now) or does she need to wait and include the sons passport and medical info right away. My husband doesn't ave any kids so I don't know the answer. Any Info would be greatly appreciated. Thx.

Hi Mrs. Brown, I am from the POS thread; however, our VO's operate pretty similar....SLOW!!! My husband and I filed our application on Feb. 7, 2013 and we just received an AOR from POS on Sept. 10th. Some folks never get them but their files are still being worked on. It is a bit hit and miss for both our offices.

With regard to your friend's question - although her step-son may be "non-accompanying" right now, she and her husband must include him on the application with all of his documentation now (passport, medical, photos etc.). The reasons are that if the son ever wants to be sponsored in the future whether he is 4 years old or 40 years old, if he is not declared and included now he would never be able to be sponsored in the future. CIC requires this for future eligibility to enter Canada.

Secondly, if the son's info. is not submitted with the application it will be considered "incomplete" and returned to your friend delaying the process much longer than 3 weeks. I was in this situation with my husband and step-children and we had to get all of their passports issued, national identity docs., photos, medicals completed to send with the application. I also recommend paying all of the fees up front where possible as that will also increase the processing time if CIC has to come back with that request. Hope this helps. Blessings,
