Hello cafelatte02 and welcome to the forum. Thank you for taking action, we need every individual voice to contribute to a big roaring chorus of "we're mad >:( and we want to see changes"!! Blessings to you and your hubby on this immigration journey. You can still lurk on your down days ;), but it is good to hear from each other in solidarity.

Thank you so much CdandTrini! Wishing you a fast process as well and all our forum Family that have been waiting forever to hear some great news as of next week. Come on KG, Family class is your first priority, stamps some visas so that we can be reunited with our spouse, find a job, pay taxes and make babies!

My husband does that when I'm angry at him to get me laughing. Cause I hate it so much lol
Also. When I get called white gal. Or whitey. I usually respond with blacky or yo, black man!

They stop after that. ... Usually. Hahah

LOL!!! I love that one! So true, I always think the same thing. It it so unattracting boys, just don't do that!!!
You all made me LMAO today! I was on my way home reading and laughing by myself, people looking at me like I'm a fool :P Not that I really care about what they think or say... Jamaican people have a culture of their own, Thank God cause I love it, but boy sometimes they are just too straithforward. We just cannot say whatever we have on our mind!

Good evening, just dropping by. Bored and just reading posts on Facebook. Here is a joke I came across on one of my friends page...

A man who is dying in the hospital is surrounded his two sons, daughter and his wife and nurse.
Says to his eldest son:
- To you, Peter, I leave the Beverly houses.
- To you, my dear daughter, I leave the apartments in the Los Angeles Plaza.
- To you, Charlie, being my youngest son with a large future, I leave the City Center offices.
- And you, my dear wife, the three residential buildings towers in downtown.
The nurse, impressed, tells his wife: Madam, your husband is very rich. He is having many properties! You all are so lucky!!
And the wife retorts: Rich??? Lucky???
He is a Milkman!!! Those are his routes where he delivers milk !!!!

Good morning everyone, wishing you all a great week-end!
Hope it'll get sunny in JA, my hubby's telling me that my garden is muddy, since it's raining all the time in the country. It would be nice harvesting few veggied this coming October 8)

For everyone that is still awaiting PR since beginning of 2012, is there a particular reason it's taking so long, has there been any indication as to WHY? Do the notes ordered show where the issue is? How often should the notes be ordered? I am planning to order mine in October which would make 6mths. Also, do you send down updates, pic, phone bills etc from each trip? I am going back soon and wanted to know if sending updates every 4-5mths makes any difference? So many questions but we all want the process to be as fast as possible.

Good evening Wifey_BT! :D

My hubby and I applied in March 2012 and there is nothing indicated in our GCMS notes. I sent updates a couple of times; however, I have stopped because KG will eventually ask for anything they may require. If you send in additional proof it gets added to your file and it has to be reviewed so it potentially adds more time to the wait. If KG requires further proof they will ask for it. KG has even asked some people to stop sending stuff!

I started ordering my GCMS notes at the one year mark and every month thereafter. I stopped ordering them in July because there was nothing of value in them. Just because there isn't anything in them doesn't mean they aren't working on your application. Several people had limited information in their notes until they were near the end of the process.

I always say go with your gut feeling and do what you feel is right!

You have to book a return ticket.

You can always change the return flight to a later date for a fee.

Stacy! Do not go down there without a return flight. I did this once and they held me in a room for 4 hours and called my father in Canada to book me a flight home before they would let me go and see my husband!!!

This has also caused them to "check" me out further and delay me every other time I go down there since that incident. What I do when I am going on extended stays and don't know when I am coming home is I book a REFUNDABLE ticket. And refund it as soon as I get down there.
Then when I am ready I look for a flight home.

Hope this helps.

oh wow... didnt realize they would be that crazy.. so glad i asked... :)

Hey Sam!!!!

Thanks for popping in and giving us an update on how things are going with you and your family.

There are several stages people go through moving to a new country; I have faith that you and your hubby will work through it together and end up victorious.

I didn't know this either. I have travelled twice to jamaica on a one-way ticket and have never experienced this.
