AOR letter states approximately 6months for completion, so if CPC-M approves sponsership say December 10th, would i starting counting at that time or should i count when KG receive the package. I just want to be clear. Thanks KC and Frequent

LCW.......Your PR card will be mailed to you at your home address, I got hubby's in 3 weeks. Hubby would have the white TEMPORARY Permanently resident sheet ( that you would have used to get his SIN #)

Health card is only issued after he has been here for 3 months, I think you can apply for it early but you will not get it for 3 months. Might as well wait....

I have some good news to share....... I applied for a job as a claims Adjuster and there were 48 internal applicants for 2 positions.... Well there were 2 rounds of interviews and I was told yesterday that I got the job...... I AM SO EXCITED
Better hours.... less work, more room for advancement within the company..... and 1 hour lunches..... woot woot I AM SOOOOOOOOO HAPPY

LCW... as soso said... PR card comes in the mail.. just make sure the address is right on the COPR because that is what address they will send it too.... (they screwed up on ours and put the wrong apartment #)

health card you can apply for when you have the right documents (Passport / PR card / bank statment etc) but it will not be vaild for 3 months..

SIN card you can apply for right away.. all you need is passport and COPR - you can go online and see where you can apply for one - they give him a # right on the spot and mail the card. He can start work "legally" from when he has that #.

Soso - congrats on the new position girl... thats great... mo money mo money!

Kimore.. i would start counting from December 17th (approx)... so 2.5 months they have had your file... can you tell us a little more about your file again.... is there children? has spouse left JA before?

in a perfect world.... your next step would be to get a request for Original documents.. which will be original birth paper, original marriage cert, and any other supporting documents since you sent off the package.... Good Luck...

Soso - Congratulations on the promotion. I was once an claims adjuster myself and I can tell you that you will now hear some of the strangest things from customers you've ever heard in your life!! LOL - Good luck! All you need now is proper vacation: 17 + 17 + 17 + 17 = ;D

KC - I believe you may, at long last, change my status..... my file is now being processed normally. I/O already has all of our originals and the custody letter so currently we are waiting for medical redo + police clearance request. Thanks! 8)

Hi all just to let you know step son got call to come pick up PP today he will go on Mon and trying to get ticket for WED so if all goes well he will land WED but still no word on his girls file my MP is on the case now so I hope I hear something soon

Precious - I'm impressed. I was under the unique impression that when filing for deps. under 22 the wait was long... in the 22 month range. I was doing some research on that prior to sending in my application in July of 2008. Congratulations! Hopefully it won't be too much longer for the other children. Best of luck.
