Yeah, why hasn't Nev gotten through in 6 months and everyone else that has been waiting as long or longer? :P

I remember someone posting an email they received from KG with the 6 month quote but everywhere else you read it says 80% of applications are completed in 19 months. We will never know...

Oh boy they need to get their timelines right so confusing but I love to know they now have 3 visa offices open doesn't that mean the process is suppose to speed up?

frankfield!!! I was thinking of you yesterday and now here you are. Thank you for your beautiful words of inspiration, they are just what I needed to read to help carry me through the remainder of my journey. You spoke straight to my heart and filled me with a renewed sense of hope. You are my forum angel here on earth. Bless you. :-*.

Nev, you are always with me..in the spirit though not in the flesh. Hold on to God unchanging hands...cliche but true. He is working long after the IO is asleep. Be still and know he is...

Not to burst anyone's bubble. I was talking to an immigration lawyer not long ago. And they told me most get through in 10 months to 1 year start to finish.

I sent mine in September and I'm thinking I'm going to hear something August or sept (hopefully)

I have no clue. I got the same email about trying to keep with their 80% in 6 months. I have seen most go through in 6-8 months but I have seen some up to 12 months. Kingston is hard to figure out.

It may happen yet. I believe they just opened this month (and they only do a certain portion of the paperwork not the full monty) so the impact may not be felt for another few months but it is a postitive move in the right direction.

Marriage is so much work and unless we re-learn, re-train our minds, and allow God to help us navigate this wonderful yet trying institution we cannot make it pass the honeymoon phase..

I got an email response today from kingston they are defiently working very hard. The email that I received states as follows.

We Write in response to your email as below.

All documents mentioned, were received and attached to your spouse's file. His application is being processed and remains in the processing queue. He will be notified once any action is required on his part.

What do they mean by processing queue? Does that mean he's in line for his application to be looked at?

Dear Madam

Thank you for your email.

This Family Class application was received by our office on 25 September 2012 after being forwarded by Case Processing Centre Mississauga. This application is currently pending initial review, after which we will contact the applicant directly to advise the outcome of the review and any next steps.

We are striving to make our processing of Family Class applications as efficient as possible. We continue to meet our commitment to a service standard of 6 months to finalization for at least 80% of cases for sponsored spouses, partners, and children. Processing times are calculated from the date the application is approved by Case Processing Centre Mississauga, after which it is sent to the visa office for further processing. For individual cases, actual processing times may vary depending on the complexity of the application and the number of new applications received by the visa office.

Applicants can check the status of their case on the CIC website by clicking on Client Application Status. Kingston Fam!

Just wanted to stop in and see how everyone is doing!!! It's quiet in here today I see.

Comon everyone, make some noise!!!! Back in late 2012 and early 2013, this thread was on FIYAH!!!!! The momentum, the spirit of unity, the chants, the NOISE is what stirred up the air and I truly believed that sent alot of spouses home. You don't have to believe me but the Universe brings what we are all in agreement with but we have to proclaim it LOUD and PROUD!!!

You know what? I'm going to throw some good ol confetti as an early celebration for all those who are in line to come home, celebrate what's yours before it's here. So here goess!!!!!! Make some muth f*** NOISE y'all!!! Bring home our wives and our men!!!!!!!

****THROWS CONFETTI!!!!!!******
