Well i really don't know to be honest. i have a feeling they may be suspicious of our relationship because of the fact he is 8 years younger than me. Although our relationship is very genuine. I believe and love my husband and there is no doubt he loves me too. he has shown me the true meaning of love. i was in a previous relationship that ended sour and i had to pull my sponsorship as it was not genuine.

8 years is not a huge gap. How about how you met? How long your dated before getting married? Oh gosh these questions always get personal but it helps shed light on experiences others go through when in the process.

I'm curious how you found out the last sponsorship wasn't genuine?

i'm okay with sharing...i met him through a friend. We started out as friends and spoke for almost a year before we became intimate. then got married 5 months after that.

With my ex-husband, i found out he was cheating. I tried to work it out for the fact i thought i really loved him and i was also carrying our 3rd child. But i'm glad it happened....I'm with someone who loves me for me.

I have been reading all of your posts and I am so encouraged to see how supportive you all are of each other. Although I am not yet married and so haven't sent in my application, I have been working to get it ready for sometime now. Seeing so many of you get "the call" this week is so exciting. dont worry about the age thing.........im 37 and my wife is 53 and i love my wife more than anything...so please dont make that part bother you at all......it is just how immigration are...sometime they are fast and sometime they are slow..we just have to put everything in god hand and i know in my heart that god will deliver for all of us in here and everyone who is not her aswel......Welcome to our little family here, it goog to have you join in on the race to the finish......lol

Sometimes it may take longer depending on different variables. As an example, background checks may take longer if your spouse has traveled outside of JA. They have to consult with different intelligence agencies to retrieve the required info so that can add to the delay.

i wanna ask this question......i know that immigration have to do background check on every one so what is the purpose of us getting a background record check from the country we live in and the ones that we been for more than 6 months......can the just look ot the recors we send them what they ask for....

Were your ages ever a slight factor? I'm sure not for you but was it for her when you both met?
