Very very new to this site. Just reading everyone's stats. What is AOR stand for? how can i add my stuff. I am feeling very frustrated with the kingston visa office. They are so slack. My application was sent Aug.24th 2012; approved for sponsorship nov.2nd 2012 and sent to the visa office. So far have had to redo medicals 1x and police clearance.
They have all the results back since October 2012 and we are just waiting and praying each day for them to call him.

child of God; I had to send them an email and asked them to update the cic site. That is their job to do it; we shouldn't have to ask. Some officers do it while others are so laid back.

Welcome to the forum OLAU! AOR is acknowledgement of receipt which the letter you would get from them. HOWEVER KG is not in the habit of sending those out. Why did you have to redo medicals and PC?

We had to redo medicals because immi allowed them to expire. we had done the medicals in may 2011 and by may 2012 they hadn't completed the application. my hubby received a phone call from a visa officer who said she had the file on her desk but couldn't promise it would be done before it expired.

Sometimes it may take longer depending on different variables. As an example, background checks may take longer if your spouse has traveled outside of JA. They have to consult with different intelligence agencies to retrieve the required info so that can add to the delay.

understandable but my hubby has never left JA!
even though he hand delivered the police certificate sept.25th, they just entered it in the system as completed on nov.2. So they have the results of his medical and now the police certificate. i am truly missing him. I haven't been back to see him since feb 2012. I'm afraid to book a ticket cuz we keep saying they're gonna call, they're gonna call....NO CALL!!!
