Thank you all so much...I wish I had found this website earlier...I needed the support that you guys could've gave me in the last couple of years...the feeling that our life together was put on hold is no more! I'll be seeing my hubby soon..I'm going to Jamaica to get him, so we can fly back together..plus I need to say good-bye to my Jamaican family for a little while..gonna miss them and Jamaica...but when I return, it'll be together...and hopefully with a wee baby with us

This puts some hope and life into our forum, I love it! It has been a slow summer with our last visa issued to jamaicansgirl in July and last update of Ready's "in process" a couple weeks ago. Very nice to see some movement in a positive direction for Kingston and hopefully an end to the silence. There are some ladies that have fallen quiet in here that have been waiting a very long time for their husbands. Neika, Icesfluffy, FirstLadyKing, tintin, LHNB, and FaithfullyWaiting, we are all thinking, hoping and praying for you! Your time is near. Just hold the faith. Remember, we are here to support you!

Jamgirl, it should cost between J$700 and $800 dollars, I think. Not more than $1,000.

Ceeallen, visitors are admitted to the country for a maximum of 90 days (3 months). Anything over that and the person must apply for an extension (J$10,000) at the Passport, Immigration and Citizenship Agency (PICA).

One more question... when Hubby mails in his docs, should he write his file number or anything on the outside of the envelope? What about writing them on the redo certificates?

He should write it on the outside of the envelope (the courier will insert his envelope into one of their own, so his information will not be on display). He should not make markings of any kind on the medical or PCC documents (except for the signature on the PCC).
