So just to get this straight:

Immigration works around the clock, and on weekends??

Yeh right! Sometimes I believe they only work 4 hour a day.

It would be very interesting to know. And if this were the case, why is the wait so long.

No, she actually has to land in order for the process to be initiated to send it off. It takes about 46 business days (8-9 weeks on the calendar) for it to come. I am still waiting for mine, ETA is about the second week in August. :)

Oh, morning everyone!

Cute pics, Jamgirl, love the one with his face in the bowl, haha!

Ok thanks Charlie. I got confused cause hubby was here when he got his his approval so it came right away.

Good mawnin!

Yes my boy loved that cake. I must say it was pretty good. I made a red velvet cake with cherry pie filling and cream cheese icing!

well we mussy had a bunch of files sent to Kgn because we were approved together and sent together. I havent heard anything since it was transferred. not even we have your application..

Sorry to say Blondie, but my file was transferred to KGN before Christmas and I have heard nothing since. With the small exception that they added my husbands address (in May??). I surely hope that you don't wait as long as I do!!

People have gotten emails at 3 & 4 in the morning; PPR on the weekends; and I even read on the forum once that someone got a telephone interview on a Saturday! Not sure what hours they keep, another immigration mystery!

Hello Lovely Ladies,

@Jamgirl...he is too cute!!! Is it Ready who broke her tooth? Sorry can't remember as I'm typing but so sorry to hear that must be painful.

@Blondie it is quite frustrating..not sure why things can't be updated faster. I'm not saying that Kingston office is not busy I am sure they are but when I look at the progress of the Phillipines VO office for example, I have been told that they update their clients on a bi weekly basis...PPR's are within 3 months...the whole process completed in 4 months (this is not every case, but probably 80%) while VO's in Kingston very minimal communication 16 month wait time or even the office in Singapore have a 21 month wait!!! Perhaps these countries receive more applications than others?? but in that case, they need to make it a priority to update clients on a more regular basis of what's happening with their files, I am sure this would bring down the amount of calls, emails and MP interventions they receive OR share the case load with another VO office that is not soo busy??? Either way, what I don't get is why this level of "efficiency" within immigration is allowed to continue year after year after year...

Oh, and don't even get me started with ecas...that's a big joke! It is not updated regularly at all and we kill ourselves stressing and checking it multiple times a day...even Charlie's didn't update to was it "decision made" until she landed in Canada!!!!

I'm still hoping, praying, believing for good news for us all around but my perspective changed this morning. Instead of me checking ecas like I've gone mad lol I am just going to WAIT for the call, letter etc. because what I have been doing is WAITING "to see some indication on ecas that they are going to call" if you know what I mean...

This is exactly how I am... I haven't checked my ecas in months. I do, however, have the ecas tracker so if there were any changes, my email would receive the update. I honestly dont think of ecas. Hubby and I are geared for a phone call or letter in the post. I do check my email often, just in case, also waiting on CAIPS notes....

Hi all

Happy belated BDay to Jamgirl's Son, looks like he really enjoyed his cake

So i received my GCMS notes and BF date for security and Crmininalty is tomorrow, i guess they may look at it tomorrow, that interesting cause i thought that immigration didnt work after 4:30 or on weekends

Hi guys, jus touching base. I'm here in Jamaica's hot sun enjoying my last 3 weeks.

Jus worried now because RCMP says my husbands fingerprint info is not in their system yet and its been 3 months. Should he redo them or we jus wait?

Hey Neika! Does 'BF' stand for Bring Forwad Date? What does that mean exactly do you know?

I hear ya Jamgirl...I was thinking about ecas tracker but I don't like the idea that a random person has access to my personal information :/

Never got Decision Made at all, LOL. I went from "In process" to "Landed at Pearson International". ::)
