Hey Fourm,

It's been about 8 weeks since they hubby has come to Canada. I thought he would be reciving his PR Card before now. Do you know how long it takes? And also we have been thinking about taking a trip to the States or to England what would he need to do either?

Took my hubby about 3-4 months to get his PR card. As for the states. He will need to get a US visa attached to his passport cause they will not let him in with his PR card and passport alone, we tried and got refused and about 20 border control took him in like a prisinor and pat him down and searched him. Said they surprised a Jamaican has no record...Let's just say they heard my mouth that day LOL. Once he's a Canadian citizen he will not need the visa.

today makes 97 days since my application supposed to reach there and all them can tell me like i said dont go by the amount of days it says on the webdite ...if the date that they say they are working is after yours then you can call other than that sit back and wait for them to contact you -

Right now, im really getting frustrated...been about 2 weeks n a day since i handed in my application, and this wait is killing me already....Applied june 06th 2012, and I have 2 wait another 3 months, which means, i'll b getting approval in September...this is so riduculous,,,the wait timesss are overwhelming. On a brighter note..im planning to go 2 jamaica for Oct if the sponsorship approval comes through. If not, i aint going anywhere...I wanna c hubby so bad, miss him so much, but this stupid approval's holding everything up.

I totally understand....applied in February and figured go in May to see my husband with approval and then hopefully interview in September and I go again...well got an AOR last week but still waiting for my approval......missing my husband awfully bad as well and will go in September and then out of holidays for the year so if he gets called for an interview I will have to take unpaid time off work

Lord you're braver than me!!!! My mom tried to get me berry picking when I was a kid..........still won't go! Are the size of squiters crazy!!!!

Bug zappers are great. There's some home remedies for bug repellent, Avon's Skin so Soft, a 'bounce' dryer sheet...staying inside... lol
We get this like plague of 'pine/spruce' bugs...OMG....eveyone walks down the street doin a jig cuz they chase ya!!! And bite like the devil......

I am dying to go berry picking, hubby has promised to take me to get strawberries. So excited! When I see what they are asking for us to be able to pick a bushel worth, and think how I always skipped over them in the supermarket in JA because the prices were crazy, I cannot pass this up! I am also going to make my own strawberry jam, I have a friend in Guelph who is into all of that and does her own preserves every year who has promised to help me. ;D

Yummmmm strawberries!!!! Blueberries.....you've got to get some rhubarb to go with the strawberries and make pies.....I got a freezer filled with rhubarb.

I Love strawberries and raspberries! mmm mmm with whip cream and maple syrop...and some fluffy waffles! O-M-G! Almost as much as I lubb my hubby!

everyone keep the faith ;D it will happen! try to be productive with your time especially in summer months...the days are looong! Not sure why but the 7 months I waited seemed to fly by....just stayed active.

Anada, girl you gotta relax some...have faith in your love for each other, nothing else matters...! Believe in each other.

Not yet suki, we put the cart before the horse

but my hubby marched over to High Commission a week after a missed call...no record of the call...and although they don't allow 'walk ins' they told him his app was almost done and pp would be mailed to him soon! 8)

Bling, it should be hitting your mailbox shortly. My husband and kids just arrived in the mail this week and they've been here for two months.
