omg I am exhausted. I just came back from Brampton looking about my move from
Quebec to Ontario.That straight 5 hours drive just mach me up, but that aint going to stop me from blessing u guys up before going to sleep.

Mrslswn wow ur processing time frame is great. congrats to you and also to those that received updates. I' m seeing many "in process"I thought that the minimum processing time was 6 months but a few are getting it within 4 months. This is great news

LWU, hang in there my dear, Charlie is right have absolutely no doubt, dont let the interview request get the best of you and hubby. All will be sorted out in time

As for myself my ecas was updated to medical received.
Seems like kingston is back on track and doing there thing. I have a feeling a ppr call is coming in this week for someone..who will it be

AliCat, order your GCMS notes ASAP. If you're wondering how to address the issue of a short history together before marriage, tell your husband to do it like you did here: short and completely honestly. There is nothing wrong with a relationship turning out to be much more than you expected initially! What you don't want to do is try to embellish it, or embroider it with things that did not happen.

Both of you need to review your application information together, and show that in the time that has passed, you have grown in knowledge of each other (very important) and your commitment to each other and a future together is rock solid. Be sure to mention any plans you have made for the future, especially things your hubby is doing to prepare for life in Canada again, and that you are doing to prepare for him to return. Now, get on the GCMS notes! You will need these for specific info and thoughts from your VO.

good morning all
got a question for yall totaly off topic on the whole immigration thing but i hope someone can help me either way
i was wondering about how much does it cost to get a tooth filled in jamaica....
i have a tooth thats started bothering me this morning and i cant get into seeing my dentist till next week... my mother was saying to just get it checked out when i go back home at least that will be supporting the local economy out there but having been here since i was 5 never been to a jamican dentist before .... does it cost alot and also is it painful .... ???

G'morning, Amandawood! Last time I had a tooth worked on was more than 6 years ago. As I recall it cost me J$2,200 (I had group medical then so most of it was reimbursed), and I felt more pressure than pain, once the dentist had stuck that needle in my gums! That was the only painful part, well aside from the actual tooth issues!

Hello,

I am very new to this forum but I have gained so much understanding to this
Precess of sponsorship.

My story:
I got married in Montego Bay Jamaica on Oct 27, 2011. I was in JA for 1 week so we
Got medical done very quickly however the police clearance took about 1 month to come back so we had to wait. I finally sent off all my documents. The immigration office in Mississauga received it Dec 12, 2011. I got a confirmation back Fed 2, 2012 stating they have sent all the documents to kingston. I am praying my husband get his visa the next month or 2. Currently I am also 5 1/2 months pregnant with our first child. Total surprise to me and its so difficult being apart in this situation. I was in Jamaica in January but I'm getting bigger and really can't manage to fly until after the baby is born. I pray to God he arrives before the baby is born. I am now a prayer warrior because of it.

Question:
What is the best way to let Kingston know of our situation?
Or should I wait 1 or 2 more months before contacting them?

Welcome to all our newbies, do stick and stay as Charlie would say. The forum is here not only to address questions or concerns but to support one another. The process is challenging and can be stressful from time to time but we are here to support everyone.
Basha, I hate to be the one to tell you but very few get through in 6 months, the average is likely close to 9-10 months from the time KG gets it. Don't want to add any stress to you but want you to set your mind to the possibility of your hubby not getting his visa in a month or two and plan for that. Unfortunately KG hasn't put any priority on expectant family re-unification in the past.
