Ive only posted a few times jus wondering how long it takes after the medical redos are done will kgn receive them.....We sent in app Dec 2010.... Never heard anything ECAS never changed so I asked my MP to investigate and as of Feb 14th it says IN PROGRESS and she told me they mailed a med redo....My husband did the med redo today o Im jus wondering around how long it usually takes them ....Thanks

Well, KG didn't get today off, which means they must have been busy sorting people's reunions!

BBBB - KG can take anywhere from a week to a month or more to act on a medical re-do.

I havent seen this discussed lately, not sure if that is on purpose, but... Is anyone have a spouse from Trelawny? That is where mine is from and would be nice to try and reunite our spouses with locals from home when they reach here...

bestis-I feel that way all the time, and my hubby always seems to know!! I get a call or email or txt and I just have to smile...I take it forgranted that he might miss me as well..lol even tho my husband is not needy at all right now, he just going thru the motions...I think everyone going thru this experience feels these things...keep ya head up my girl! I am right there witcha!

I love the early morning calls, just to wish me a good day, tell me he loves me......got one this morning and I'm glowing now.

well im back from my holiday and still nothing new for us going on!! we are at 14months on our app and still no request to re do meds!!!! he has been to canada before so if they are just waiting of criminal check from rcmp to make their decision !! do u think after waiting this long that they would turn us down?? or they wouldnt take this long to turn us down?? just worried about that!!! i know when out time comes it comes but will be getting on the redos soon !!! its just getting hubby on board to do it is all!! he works on ja time!! well i hope everyone had a good three weeks and had a good family day yesterday!! well hope to hear some good news and congrats to all with new updates i may have missed!! one love

Lostwithoutu, I was in the same situation as you last year this time. No updates, no request for medical redo, but they were also holding on to my husbands passport. Then he receives a call confirming what he already knew, that his medical and police clearance had expired and that he needed to redo them and come pick up his passport.

The rumor is that the RCMP have a large backlog of clearances sitting on their desk and that the usual four to six months has ballooned into a much longer wait. We've been waiting nine months now since KG apparently sent the request and are still waiting. I would suggest checking out the following link (http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/cr-cj/fing-empr2-eng.htm) and you could have your husband send an email to civilnps@rcmp-grc.gc.ca requesting an update.

If all you are waiting on is the police clearance to clear through the RCMP, then you're free and clear. Your marriage has been deemed to be true, his Jamaica police clearance is good to go and his medicals came back good. Just hang in there...

Again, like everyone says on here, everyone's situation is different, maybe you'll get the call soon, but I'm just making sure I help you set some realistic expectations.

I will confirm the RCMP backlog...they sent me an e-mail. My husband and I just waited a total of 55 weeks for checks to completed and returned to POS.

Hey Guys,
I'm a little confuse here. The reason why you have to go through the rcmp check is because your spouse lived in canada for a while or has only visited canada for a short period of time( like 1 month)?
wow my fear is exactly what you guys are going through right now
My husband came to visit me in 2009 during my pregnancy.

I'm so feeling you guys pain. Come on kingston reunite some families already
