RANDYsgirl, Congrats! I understand how yu feel tho, I feel the same way, until its all over am not gonna jump up n down!!! But we all can for you!!!! YAYYYYYY

Woot, RG, that passport is sure to be on its way soon!! Get in reunion mode! ;D

Thanks everyone, still confused whether they recieved his medicals tho... trying to stay calm

They had to have done so, they can't issue the visa without a valid medical, so it is unlikely they would update to decision made without receiving the medical. Don't worry...get busy!

hey everyone. It has been quite a while. Hubby is adjusting to the true winter in TO. I told him he was lucky up to lately cuz it's usually not so mild. He was saying the other day that we need to get a car starter so the car is warm. I laughed cuz we park underground and it was only cuz he had to walk a few blocks in the cold that day. All is well here still. Hubby's still working and liking it so that's a good thing. He was really missing home at christmas. kept calling people and asking how grand market was. Hopefully next year we can make it to JA for the holidays.

I have a question. Hubby is preparing the paperwork to sponsor his son now that we're settled in. We're just getting the medical and passport in order first. I see that the sponsorship process is taking about 2 months these days. Does anyone know how long it takes to sponsor a minor child? We didn't have to fill out many forms because he's under 18. Just wondering.

have a great day and let's go KGN.....get some folks moving up the line.

Congrats@randygirl.Just here praying i get that stamp before i have to redo my medical. If they want me to do my medcial over will they sent me a form etc?

Hey togirl2011, glad to hear all is going well.

Sponsorship of minor children is supposed to be priority, and much simpler as they have not much background or security issues. It should take around 6 months or so for your stepson to be completed here at KG.

i have bin gone for a while but im back for a lil more insight

Morning, morning and morning! Another Monday, another brand new week for KG to get busy reuniting folks! Let's GO, KG, there are some folks in the home stretch that I need to cross off my list. ;)

Hey icesfluffy! Ask away if you have any questions, someone will try to help I'm sure.

Have a great Monday, whatever you do folks! Keep it busy and stay positive. Every passing day is just one day closer to this process being over! ;D

Good Morning
I am newly registered to this site and was wondering if anyone could help me with a few questions
1. I got married to my husband in 2010 and is just now staring the application process, due to finacal and problems and family issues we were not able to do it untill now.
willl this cause problems since i waited till over a year to apply?
2.he has a daughter and we want to apply for her as well, will it to be easier to apply for him first or 2 both sponsorships at the sametime?

anyone who could help me i would greatly apperciate it, i am so confused and frustrated with this whole process all this paperwork is driving me batty
but i guess anything worthwhile having takes hard work and detemination.

Godbless you all
:)

Afternoon all!

Hi deloswifey, welcome! To answer your questions, a delay of a year after marriage before filing a sponsorship application by itself is not an issue. It would normally be examined in context, so your circumstances will probably explain why you couldn't file it earlier. I would recommend that if you can meet the LICO, you go ahead and sponsor them both. Dividing the process does not necessarily make it easier to deal with.

Hi family.....UPDATE.... my husband got the call today, he is to bring is passport and plane ticket on thursday, they wanted him to come in tomorrow but he told them Thursday would be better. They called several times in the morning but his phone was on silence, however they call his mother's phone. Counting from June 13 of last year its little over 7 months, I started in February but information was missing and my package was returned, also "in process" was about January 5th. I am am so happy and yet nervous, we had not spend much time together before and after we got married, and he is one of those "die hard seventh day adventist vegetarian christian" lol... anyway i am excited. I just lost one of my partime job because of shift change so God answer my prayer and his bringing him home in time, still looking for another partime or fulltime though. Hubby should be home by next Tuesday. Charlie we should be doing this together we started out almost the same time and you been a champion source of information to alot of us on this forum, may your time be speedy, you, and all the others who are waiting, are in my thoughts and my prayers. Oh!! and charlie, I have learnt from your vocabulary on this forum lol, I really do, I pay attention... you reminded me of my College girlfriend. All the best to everyone and God is in control, you are next in line for your miracle...

Congrats Jahbee!!
