LOL, hey Jill. Since he was there for a year, CIC might be interested to know what he was doing with himself during that time. What you can do is have your husband's cousin write about your husband's stay in the context of a support letter for you both. If he/she is aware of your relationship, they can write and say, "I became acquainted with their relationship during his stay with me from XX (date) to XX (date)". If your relationship was not ongoing at that time, but they are now acquainted with it, they can say how they came to know of it, and mention the stay dates as an added detail of their personal acquaintance with your husband, and what convinces them this is a genuine marriage.
