Hey everyone, good afternoon!

Canuck, we mostly texted, and never asked to try to retrieve our records, but others have done it successfully. You do have to go to the Digicel head office to make the request, you are correct about that.

LHNB, no, we don't have a national identity document. In some countries you are compelled to apply for a national ID, it is strictly voluntary in Jamaica, so not many people have one, especially if they have a driver's license or passport. You don't need to include the blank form if you are not appointing a representative, just put N/A next to it on the checklist.

Ok this is kinda immigration related. But most you guys know about my weight loss journey. When I realized we were going to file papers...actually before we decided to file when it was a thought..I decided to focus on my weight loss while I had year round sunshine and unlimited access to fresh fruit and veggies and swimming at the beach, going for walks where its not minus forty etc. I didn't quite make my goal of being as thin as I wanted...but I'm getting closer. I thought I'd share my before and after..since I've kinda been sharing this with you guys anyways!

These are me in the beginning..I was a big mamma!!

SQ!!!!! girl you look fabulous!!!! way to go on the weight loss, you dont even look the same!!!! beautiful!

Congratulations on persevering on your chosen path, SQ!! You look great and I bet you feel great within yourself too, the sense of accomplishment that comes with achieving a set goal is second to none! :D

Thank you ladies. Hubby is quite happy with the progress because I told him we are not expanding the family till I reach a better weight and he's anxious for that. I know how much I want to add to our family...so it was some serious motivation. I'm not quite at the weight yet where we can start trying...but getting close. It makes this immigration journey that much sweeter to know that I can go to Canada a whole new person for my whole new life!!

SQ I am gonna echo the sentiments of the other ladies amazing weight loss and kudos as long as you are happy then all is well :)

Thanks Everyone! Im very excited!

Smoothie! holy smokes! great job! ( on a side note... is that your house in jamaica? it looks pretty) yes i am indeed that stalker that walks by peoples houses and does a drive by quick look at the interior! haha... it's not like I stare nose to window... but I do love to see how people decorate.)

@ Smoothies- WOWWWWW!!! You should be in one of those weight loss commercials!

SQ!!!! DAM Girl................. ;D you are lookin fine! even fluffy you look hawt!! BEAUTIFUL wedding dress...love it! ;D
Congrats on the weight loss...I'll bet you feel like a million bucks, the jacket is beautiful.

good morning everyone!

wow SQ :o that's an amazing transformation!! congratulations, you look absolutely fantastic!!

sanchester - congrats on your pregnancy :D do you have any names picked out yet? ... another forum member having a baby....it's so exciting!!

charlie - your husband had his first snowfall this year...too bad it all melted before he could get another picture for you. We had a little but it melted when it hit the ground. We are supposed to get more tomorrow...we'll see if it sticks and stays

canuck - having the grandkids for christmas will be fun! I bet you'll spoil them with the best toys lol it's funny you saying you couldn't find your decorations. Gosh I haven't decorated for a few years either so hubby and I had to venture into the basement storage to find everything. I have a ton of stuff I had totally forgotten I had. Hubby decorated and put lights outside....we had very different ideas on decorating. Finally I gave up and let him do whatever he wanted (he had never hung lights on a tree or outside before) he didn't do so bad! Although he didn't understand why I didn't use multi coloured everything for decorating the tree lol We had to go out and buy some multi coloured lights to satisfy his creative vision lol

lonely wife - it's been awhile, glad things are going well! how's hubby handling the cold there? Mine enjoyed it last year, wouldn't even wear a winter coat. This year he is not enjoying it at all! He still hates being confined in a winter coat but bought a new one just in case he changes his mind lol Now he's looking to buy some winter boots with fur on them....sometimes I question his fashion sense lol

hello to everyone else ;D To those who will be without your spouse this Christmas, I know it's tough, been there myself for 2 of them. Try to keep your chin up and try to look forward to the many you will spend together in the future.

I really shouldnt complain, Calgary is a beautiful safe city as well, I just wish we had better parades and festivals, concerts and direct flights! More cultural events..maybe it's just lonely right now because I am missing my husband!
