Morning, morning, morning! Happy Hump Day folks!

Hey, kuma, I hope your husband hears from KG soon to get back his PP. Can't wait to post those final updates for you! :D

Mrs P, you've done all you can do, I suggest it's time to take a step away from Immigration and its woes. Book a flight, come home to Jamaica, be with your husband. That's the best thing you guys can do for each other right now, IMHO.

Hey everyone, Mrs P I highly recommend going to see your hubby even tho leaving this time was harder than ever, we had a wonderful peaceful time together reconnecting.

Well our medicals expired now officially so we are not going to wait for a redo request. We are going to just do it next week. I guess the police check has expired also, so he will have o do that too... It is my understanding that you can do the criminal record check in MoBay now, does anyone know where?

Hey RG,

a quote from Kuma;

it's the police station by the glorianna, apparently they started doing this in sept of 2010 b/c of the wait times and inconv. for ppl from mo bay.....i'm not buying it. i agreee with all you guys ahhhhhh

so apparently thats where u can do it but pick up in KGN when its ready HTH

Yer all right, thanks everyone, I'm gonna sit back and wait now and plan our trip!!

MrsP how long do u think u are going for?

Also maybe the trip will be a good thing u can possibly send new proof to embassy and then maybe then they will touch your file again and tada PPR ;D

Hahaha that would be nice!!

Prob 7-10 days the most, wish I could go for 2 but with work and paying bills it'll make it a lil harder :S

I agree MrsP these bills cho I wanna sneak away sometime around xmas but this unpredictable job is making it hard but i will keep trying ;D

It sucks cuz having my own business, if I want a vacation, I don't get vacation pay, I jus don't get paid. And losing a lot of work time I'll really feel it some that's something I need to think about. But a trip there will be definite

and her I was thinking 1 of the perks of having a business would be to just up n go not caring about vacay time just book ticket and go

Ohhhhh trust me its not!! I wish it was that easy trust me cuz I'd be going every few mths even if it was just a few days

lol thats my idea in my head my own business i could conduct anywhere in the world and i would choose JA now i really wanna go back :(

Thank you Charlie ;D

Proper just a suggestion this is what I've had to do b/c of limited time off with work but its way better than nothing at all. I fly out on a Thurs come back Tues. That way you won't miss too much and you can save some days for when he gets here. Or I've done the Fri. to a Mon or till Tues think about it. Where would you be flying from I would help you look for flights....I'm always booking flights anything I can do to help let me know.

RG, I spoke with the Criminal Records Division when the information came out regarding applying from elsewhere in Jamaica. Your husband can go to his nearest Inland Revenue Collectorate and pay the fee for the record there. $2,000 for the express (5 working days) option. He can then take his receipt to the police station, where they will do the fingerprints and send the form to the Criminal Records Division for the check to be done. When the results are received, you have the option to go to Kingston to collect them, or wait for them to be sent back to the police station.

Mrs P, I had a friend who changed his work information on FB to self-employed (CEO/Owner), then commented: "I asked myself for a raise but I didn't want to give me one, so I fired myself." Being your own boss comes with some tough choices, haha! On a serious note, though, it's either the income or the quality time with Mr P if you take some time off. And I'm pretty sure we all know which one wins. ;) Do like kuma said, plan it around a weekend, leave Thurs, come back Mon..you've lost a couple working days, but you've gained 4 days with the love of your life. So worth it!
