Charlie, i'll be back at Christmas, let me know if ya need anything?? I knew you were in JA, just didnt know where??
I was a little nervous this reach, first time going back being "married, and it had been 6 months, longest we have gone without seeing one another...i just had jitters! but as soon as i saw him..I was fine.

I stayed in Sav for a couple days, my husband is so awesome, he installed an air conditioner in the house, it was a bit of an issue because he really wanted me to stay in Sav, and we could just day trip to the beach...I just do not like that road to Sav, they drive so dam fast it scares the crap outta me. It was a great visit, I just pray things go smooth with immigration.
for all of us! it sucks being apart from your love.
Ked, hopefully it will not be 100 days for you!! omg, that's way toooo long!

Suki, how kind of you! :) Thank you very much for the offer, but honestly, though, the only thing I'd tell you to bring is cool weather...even some snow, haha! I miss cold weather and shivering, Kingston just does not cool down enough at that time of the year for my taste. That's where I am, in Kingston.

I'm glad your first time back was great! Honestly, I felt the same way too the first time my husband was coming back after the wedding, so I'm pretty sure your husband had the jitters too! I'm glad he installed the AC for you, I got a standing fan for my husband because the ceiling fan alone just wasn't helping him. The taxi drivers from Sav to Negril are crazy! I have had to tell more than a few that unless they are going to slow down, they need to stop and let me off, I will walk! It got so bad, at one time I would only travel with a select few taxi drivers.

I hope the time goes by quickly to your sponsor approval, I remember those days when we were still waiting. At the time it was taking 28-30 days, but ours took 81, haha! Who knows, maybe when it gets to KG your file will be processed faster, we can always hope!

:o Morning, morning, morning!

Come on, folks, lively up yourselves, it's another beautiful day! We have much to do, and less time to do it in. Well, "we" meaning you, KG. :P

How are the plans coming along for Thanksgiving, folks? It's just less than 2 weeks away, where is the turkey-buying frenzy? I am so pleased I get two Thanksgivings, twice the opportunities to express what I am grateful for. It's a good thing that I only celebrate them from afar though, all the food that goes around at that time would surely go straight to my hips. ::)

Right, KG, it's a lovely morning here, shaping up to be a great week, let's see you do your thing! NNNEEEXXXTTT!!!

I always bring poki sticks and twizzlers to a friend in Negril she craves them!! ohhh and I bring home Cherry coke and a husband! i LOVE jAMAICA!
Thanksgiving fast approaching is right! candied yams and carrots!! mmm mmm good! so many things to be thankful for! :) including you all that helped me get my paperwork done!
Hope ya'll have a wonderful day! One Love!

Good morning charlie and everyone else :D here today is gloomy, suppose to rain :P
Thanksgiving this year I rented a hall to celebrate my daughters birthday and to have everyone together for a nice turkey dinner. Everyone will be bringing a dish or dessert of some sort so you know the amount of food that's gonna be there will be crazy!!! :D

Come on KGN its tuesday, WAKE UP!!!!

Mrs.P how old is your daughter?, renting a hall sounds fantastic, what a way to celebrate. I myself do not have much family in Canada, just me, mom and my beautiful daughter! it's kinda sad, but we have gotten used to just the 3 of us and it's nice. I wish I had a large family. Maybe it's not too late to start! ;D

Suki- my daughter will be turning 4, and yer right its never to late!!! :D my family is huge my moms side has 17 brothers and sisters all the same mother and father and my dads side had 12 brothers and sisters all the same mom and dad lol so you can see that back in the day they were pretty busy! Lmao when we have holidays or family get togethers there's a lot of us so the hall was the best choice and much more convenient then having to clean a whole house after everyone would leave

Lol yea I know, everytime I tell ppl that their jaws drop, lol

Mrs.P.... I cant even begin to imagine how many cousins, nieces and nephews you have!! that is fantastic! My daughter is 20, her father is Jamaican, he immigrated when he was in his teens, well.. My daughter is meeting cousins all over Jamaica just now, she has sooo many in Mobay and Ochi she is just meeting for the first time..her great grandfather is 98 and still going strong! it's amazing!
We have gone on many holidays, and for some reason I believed the hype about "Jamaica is dangerous" even tho her roots are Jamaican, I just never brought her there and for the last 4 years we have been going, I have fallen in love with Jamaica, the people the food the music and of course my husband!
I'm so thrilled she is meeting cousins and aunts and uncles from Jamaica and they have accepted her with open arms!

she can no longer tell me she is "white-washed" and is loving Jamaican culture! I played and listened to Reggae her whole life, but to see her experience it in the "real" is really great!

Suki- everytime I read yer name I think of sookie from true blood, lol my all time fave show. But I agree the first time I brought my daughter there she was only a few mths so she dint understand but now that she's older she loves it. Everytime she tlks to daddy she asks if he can bring her to the beach. She loves the water!! I too tell ppl how beautiful it is and none of them realize until they go for them selves. I know a lot of ppl that travel many places and jamaica is right up there with their fave vacation spots. Ok now I'm excited to go, I really wish we would hear something before oct 10 but I'm also loving that we may be going there in a mth!!!!!! :D

nothing cuter than little toes in the sand!! I hop e you do, but hearing something and having your home would be even better I agree!

Question: how do I start a little tracker like you guys have, under posts on the left side! like date I filed and all that helpful info! or does that get added by a moderator...still learnin the ropes here!

That's a ginormous family Mrs P! How do you keep track of them all? LOL.

Suki, go to "profile" at the top of the page, then look for "forum profile information" on the left when it takes you to your user profile, and adjust the information accordingly in the boxes.

Hahaha trust me its not easy!!!! Lol
