It was a very cool night and morning here, brrr....it must be a reminder that Fall is coming

Nufflove – I included letters from my family and friends as well as my husband's family and friends. We had a small wedding on the beach and my family was not able to attend so the letters were helpful in showing that they were aware of our marriage and approved. I had some family members that had met him on several occasions but my parents had not met him in person although had spoken to him on the phone and corresponded with him on facebook, email etc. The letters seemed to help....no interview request for us so obviously they found our marriage to be genuine. In my opinion, they can't hurt.

I must admit im the culprit who said letters were't needed!! i ddint include any, My reason?? Well in speaking to a friend who is a immigration lawyer, he told me that Including int he package what they ask for, and if they dont ask for letters of support why send them. After the months and months and months being a memener of this forum, all i can say is trust the process and the members from the past. Speaking for nuff, i know she has not been to JA as often as I did, so the letters are likely more useful. My advice was to try and reduce her stress, as the letters are just gravy, and try to get through the package first! BTW i love you guys!! Im a minumulist! lol I remeber SQ and her 20lb package!! that sounded like a prestine novel!!!! i sat back and though OH CRAP!!!! my package sucked compared to all the others.. but look!! it worked!

Good morning forum family and welcome back proper, good to hear from you again.
How you feeling nae, getting excited bout now I bet. Nuff, Charlie is 100% correct about some helpful advisors that don't know schit about the process. I went through a consultant and filled him in on some of the weird conditions of the KG office. Ask away here. Send everything you can regarding the relationship, photos, wedding/honeymoon pics, wedding receipts, letters from family and friends, phone and communication proof, money sent, travel receipts and intineraies, letters and cards, marriage and birth certs, copy of both passports, anything that shows you relationship is genuine. You only have 1 shot to make your first application a good one and avoid an interview. Ensure you pay all your fees upfront, med and police report should be done as close your application going in as they are only good for 1 year and the police check cannot be longer than 3 months old. Be patient as this is a long and painfull process so do not stress over the little stuff. Remember once you have sent everything off there is little you can do to speed it up, all in the lords hands. Charlie you and Mr D will be moving along soon so we should nominate someone soon. As you joined well before you applied your application is solid and we should have someone that joined well before they applied to share thier knowledge. Thinking that by the time you land Kedisha gonna be all married off bored waiting so I will throw her name into the pile.

Ugh I could cry (well to be honest, I am) just got off the phone with my MP and she was told by imm that my application is in process and my BF date is- get this- APRIL 15 2012!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF??

omg RG wth how is that possible? ok how the HE(double hockey sticks) ur BFD 8 mths away n we know those dates dont meand jack as look in the case of the propers their BFD from July came and went n KGN n their wokless self did nothing there absolutely has to be something that u can do I would visit the MP in person as by the time your BFD rolls around KGN would have had your file for 15 mths AND when they got your file processing time was less then CIC timeline

That's somewhat on the longside, RG. Have you thought of ordering CAIPS notes to see where they are in the processing, so you can get an idea of why it might take so long? Based on what I have seen, a BF date is not chiseled in stone, it depends on what the IO is doing with the file, and they might give it a long date in order to give themselves adequate time to get whatever information they are waiting on. This is just speculation, as I said, it may be a good idea for you to order the system notes.

I am not sure an MP can do anything at this stage either. As they like to point out, KG's average time is 17 months, so in Apr 2012 you would just about be past that, and then maybe they would consent to do something if nothing has happened by then. It depends on how helpful your MP wants to be.

Just got off the phone with my imm consultant he wants me to apply for a multiple entry visa. I just really feel that its pointless, I just cannot imagine going like this for another 8 months, but I guess we do what we have to do..

wow, sorry to hear that RG! that is far away from now...is it possible the MP made a mistake? do you think they are planning on asking for an interview? maybe that's the reason they have extended the BF date?

I agree with charlie - the only way to know is to order the CAIPS notes and hopefully they have some kind of explanation for you

I'm doing well, thanks for asking. Time is going by so fast and we are very excited. Finally got the baby furniture bought and set up, we have a few last minute things to do but we are mostly all set for baby's arrival we think she may be coming sooner than predicted...we'll see

nufflove - the way I saw things and I also followed someone else's excellent advice on what evidence to submit with the app......you can never submit enough proof....if you have tons of it, send it!! Don't leave room for questions or the need for an interview. I sent everything I could get my hands on, msn chat logs, emails, itineraries and plane tickets, all phone and cell phone bills, text mssg history, FB pages from both our accounts, wedding itinerary, oh gosh the list is probably endless....I sent tons of photos, at least 100. In the end, it's up to you. My husband's file was finalized in 8 months without question or having to have re-do's .... so whatever we did, worked.

I am still in the appeal process and have an ADR on Sept 7th. I remember someone posting on the site a link to sample cases that have gone through hearing? Does anyone have that website? I forgot to the same the link and now I need to read some sample cases to help me prepare. Thanks so much in advance. Vanny
