Chukie, that's great news! Yea, you gotta love their "standard" letters. Hubby got his letter in January and 4 months later they were asking for his PP. Here is to a smooth process for you.

A computer programmer happens across a frog in the road. The frog pipes up, "I'm really a beautiful princess and if you kiss me, I'll stay with you for a week". The programmer shrugs his shoulders and puts the frog in his pocket.

A few minutes later, the frog says "OK, OK, if you kiss me, I'll give you great sex for a week". The programmer nods and puts the frog back in his pocket.

A few minutes later, "Turn me back into a princess and I'll give you great sex for a whole year!". The programmer smiles and walks on.

Finally, the frog says, "What's wrong with you? I've promised you great sex for a year from a beautiful princess and you won't even kiss a frog?"

"I'm a programmer," he replies. "I don't have time for sex.... But a talking frog is pretty neat."

As Jammie said ...any news from KG is great news during this process. Congrats to the AOR letters...I remember how happy I was when hubby got that stupid letter that is a total LIE about the processing times etc etc...but congrats anyways ;D at least it is something from KG and maybe just maybe they will follow it a bit better this year!!!!!!

LCW....glad you had a good day and got pampered everyone needs that once in a while I actually can't wait to do some pampering he he he.

Morning everyone...busy on the work, hope everyone doing well.

I am slowly but surely working on my package, lol, ticking off each task as I get them done. I have ordered another couple copies of our marriage certificate, they say to send a photocopy with the package, but I want to have an original on hand just in case. Hubby has the other copy as he needed to change his status with Revenue Canada to married. I am not in much rush to change mine with the tax authorities here in Jamaica, it's not like we get anything for it. But by the time I am ready to send off the package, everything I have will declare me Mrs. XXXXX, LOL.

Also, since I have time for it, I have decided to update my passport with my married name. Save on issues later to get Canadian ID.

Well, for everyone already in line, hoping to see some updates soon, October was a good month, the line moved! NEXT!

CharlieD: I did that too. Changed my passport right before I sent the App. But its good that you are sending all the originals cuts down on one step from KG. Pay all the fees upfront too when the time comes. I wish I had sent original would have prob cut my time down but you just never know.

I have a feeling that the 2010/2011 Apps will be done in record time from here on in. I think 2009 was just a bad year to file Apps.

Sickandtired: I will let you know when so i can pack you in the luggage. If only it were that easy.

I suggest sending in original marriage cert and jamaican birth cert... those ones are unclear in the document checklist (don't specifically say photocopies)...

Chelley - Yup, that's the plan. I already have the BC, decided to get more of the marriage certificate since Hubby has the other.
