How long does it take to get your pr card in the mail?

My hubby had his interview yesterday and got approved and his visa on the spot. So it seemed. This morning they called him back telling him to bring back everything and his passport as they forgot to give him a paper he needs to land in Canada. He sounds worried and I kinda am too. What kinda mistake is that and why would they need everything back?? Feeling very uneasy about this.

I think its the confirmation of permanent residence paper. He needs that as well as the visa to do his landing.The officer will ask him the questions tht are on the form then he will sign it.

I was wondering if I could get some help with this question. I was talking to my husband about his son who is 16 years old and has downs syndrome. He will not come to Canada because he is very close with his grandma at this time and would be a hard adjustment. If something happened to my mother-in-law then his son would need to come to Canada. Do we need to send in his sons medical and birth certificate now before my husband is approved or can we wait till the future when he needs to come to Canada. We are August 2016 applicants and things to moving fast on here lately and not sure what to do. Sorry this is so long. Thanks for any help.

If he is not on his application, he will never be able to come to Canada. He has to do a medical and send in his passport info with 8 pictures even if he's not traveling with his father. he has to be in the system. if you don't do it now. You can't do it after your hubby has been approved.

My husband goes for interview next month. Immigration officer told him he needs his updated police check and rcmp check. But I'm thinking his medical would have expired in maybe October of 2016. Does immigration give a grace period for expired medicals? I have not got any emails and they did not mention that in what was needed via phone call /email.... worried.

immigration will request an extension on medicals. They did that for me.

I emailed and got a response back. It's extended till 2017

I use this one and they get back to me within a few days ..KNGTNIMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca

They told us the PR card would be mailed in 6 to 8 weeks

Congrats and thanks for sharing I'm gonna be there for hubby's interview as well. Did they ask you any questions ?

Yes they did....they called me in after interviewing him...

How did you meet your spouse?
How did the relationship progress?
How do your kids feel about your spouse?
Did you come hear today to support your husband for his interview?

Then the immigration officer told me to call my husband in as he wanted to speak to the both of us one time and that's when he told us we were approve. I think I might have seen tafari there as we had our interview same day and time

Not sure who else had an interview on Monday but it seems like my hubby wasn't the only one who got called back because of the missing client copy of the COPR. Anyway, glad that's over with. Visa in the passport, God is so good. Congrats to everyone else who's at the end of their journey and to those with interviews coming up, wish you all the best!

Till May when his medical expires. I thought it was which ever came first between the medical and police record but I guess not as his record expires in January.
