It would be nice if they could just mailed out the visa once approved with the pp info on it so that way it can't be altered so instead of asking for the passport and having to mail it back Maybe that way it can cut down on some of the waiting ah well Just an idea that would probably never happen lol

I agree! There's gotta be a better way!! Or even allowing people to bring the passport in themselves, not making them send it in the mail and having to wait… Because some people would actually bring it right to the embassy and have it stamped that day and they'd be able to go ... Ugh.... Well I do know the people after us will have it much easier… Doesn't help us at all but at least maybe the process will become easier for following people ... Seems the liberal government is all about family and I love that. Takes time to make changes, which is unfortunate we are all in the midst of the change of government but eventually it will get better for all... I just hope in the coming days I see some people posting their PPR on here That means we are all that much closer !

Question for all of you I know The medical can be requested to extend before the due date, but police checks can't, so if somebody gets their passport request just before their police check expires does that mean they can still travel without having to get a new police check? Like you don't have to have a new police check and medical to come to Canada? It's just the police check has to be updated until you get approved? I'm just asking because I don't want to have to pay for another one for my husband if at all possible.

Do u guys feel some PPR are in the works to come soon? Next couple weeks? Taking into consideration this "effort" the government is making!? I'm feeling hopeful! Heading to JA till mid July, would love nothing more than to bring my husband back with myself and our son!

Im going down on the 27of July and i was hoping hubby would come back with me in August but i doubt it. After the PPR it takes about 1 or 2 months for them to get back everything. Thats why the time frame changed to 12-13 months

That would be amazing for you !! I am keeping you all in my thoughts and hoping for some good news for us all..... When did you apply? So nice to actually be able to go back and see them but at the same time id be much happier if he was coming here. This travelling is becoming so expensive and a pain in my ass to be honest.

I agree. They would more than likely request a new police check/medical because the visa issued expires when the PC/medical expire.

Thank you for your response! So they can charge you and have it updated you mean? If it's getting close. Or we should do that before it expires... Ugh, it's all so expensive !! I know I'm not the only one and I'm not whining it's just me, but trying to raise children over here be on maternity leave and keep a relationship going is exhausting financially emotionally mentally spiritually everything you can think of and I know all you are experiencing it. I wish they would realize what they are doing to people

I feel you I hate travelling and when I'm there everyone wants us to drive around to come and visit them I'm so not a people person and I always have to force myself to be nice when I don't want to, his close relatives I don't mind I love nieces and nephews but outside of that I just want to be with my husband since our time is so limited

I absolutely agree! When I go there I want to be able to spend time with him and not every Tom Dick and Harry, because even when you're spending time with friends and such, it's all an expense and takes away from the time you can spend as a couple .... Waaaaaa pooooor meeeeee lol!

I would personally redo it if it is close to expiring so they don't request it and cause more delays on your application.

That's what I was thinking too, but I was talking to him about it yesterday and he was saying he'd like to wait until it's getting really close to expiry because he doesn't want me to have another expense, but at the same time I don't want them to request it and have to wait and put our application even further behind… Just getting so frustrated and annoyed but yeah, maybe a week before it expires will get the new one and just send it in… So annoying
