Pleasant day everyone,

Can someone please inform me if the family sponsorship forms can be completed before marriage? or it should be done afterwards. Also, I am not seeing any information on the list "panel physicians" for Jamaica. Where should the medical be done? I am grateful for any links, tips or guidance to complete and submit an error free application.

I was trying to post 3 links but it said I am not allowed to do so. However, we are reviewing "Guide 3900 - Sponsorship of a spouse, common-law partner, conjugal partner or dependent child living outside Canada." and "Application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class." on the embassy's website.

My understanding is that she should complete: "Part 1: Sponsorship forms" and I should complete "Part 2: Immigration forms." and attach "Caribbean [IMM 3909] (PDF, 436.21 KB)" because I live in Jamaica.

The are basically the pages but the front portion is missing because I cannot post the links

The forms can always be completed prior to the wedding and reviewed and sign when you're ready to send off, I believe I still have a list of recommended doctors I'll have to look for it, what area of JA are you from? And yes she should complete the sponsorship forms since she is the sponsor and you're the one immigrating

I forgot to ask if I need to take any forms with me to do the medical? I read that a form called "The Medical Report form received from CIC (IMM1017E)" should be taken with pictures, etc. But that form was not listed and I cannot find it anywhere.

The medical offices in Kingston are $2000 less expensive than Mandeville and Montego Bay. Just so you know. My hubby called around yesterday cause we will have to redo ours.

I believe you just have to bring a valid passport.

Yes only passport, or drivers license that form is only sent to you when cic sends it requesting you do a medical if the medical wasn't done upfront, you only need the pics if the doctor you choose don't use the medical filling system (where they send the results electronically to cic) inquire about this when you call the offices, I know the one in mandeville do and at least one in Kingston but I don't think they all do

I did my medical today at oxford Medical. You will have to take in a valid passport as also a photocopy of your passport picture page. It cost a little over $12000 to have medical, x-ray and blood test done
