How far in is a good time to request the notes? They seem like they would be very helpful, is 4 months in (since Kingston has had the file) long enough for information to be in them?

I would think so I'm requesting mine in a couple weeks just waiting to get to JA so hubby can sign consent and they've only had our file since Jan 25 since it's only $5 if there's not much info there I can always request again lol

I'll can post the link once I get to a pc or if you go back a couple pages you should be able to find it, basically it gives you an idea of where the processing officer is going with your file, it can tell you whether or not an interview is needed etc etc

There's a $5 charge.

I just ordered my notes! Can't wait to see them! any idea if I ordered them online how long it should take to receive them? I'm hoping sooner than sept! I'm hoping June, August at the latest! So thankful for my friend who helped me with the process. She went through it herself many years ago and she is so knowledgable! Good luck to everyone!!

Around 30 days but the site does say if they're getting a high amount of requests it might take longer, June would be nice that's our 1 yr anniversary, our app was supposed to go in when i got back in July but things came up and it was delayed otherwise he would have been 1/2 way here by now

July is our anniversary, yes I wish I had filled out all the paper work before going and we could have sent it off In August :( but I didn't start it until late August. It sure is a huge process! Can't wait to read the notes, I looked up an example online and if it's what I will see for us, it sure has a lot of information. I actually went to school to be an immigration officer, but there's no where around where I live to do that line of work so I went into a different profession. I Always found immigration interesting.

Thanks Sara....and all who responded for your support and kind words...Day three and loving it....hubby already driving me all over the place to my favorite spots and being the total gentlemen he is..aww what a sweet feeling... He still marvels at the snow but got up this morning went for a jog..find the gym on his own ..got a pass workout and ran back home... Took him to work with me as I had an outside. Edging and while I did business with the client hubby went joy walking find his way down the subway exploring and met up with me afterwards where we are now home..him relaxing watching tv and I going about my daily task...such joy...I wish this for all of you...congrats to those who are nearing the end getting your profile already ...and for those still waiting hang in there... m
Mrs. McLaughlin passport back by Wednesday you are almost there...happy for you girl..this is a journey we choose to take but not all can endure so for those who ride it out....stay strong...as hubby would say maybe long but not forever...cheers..xoxo

First of all CONGRATS!! I'm so happy to hear your husband arrived safety and you two can now be together on a daily basis.

Secondly THANK YOU for acknowledging something that has been effecting me as well. I do not post as much as I would have if this board had remained as positive as it had been when I started. This process is hard on everyone but there is no reason for some of the negative comments that are made.

Again congrats and best of luck to you and your husband!
