Yes it changed about a month ago and now all outland show as 17 months... about 2 weeks it said 26 months. No clue why.

The 26 months for outbound was an error because they switch it back less than 24 hours after,

All outland applications for every country are showing as 17 months which is a joke. Jamaica was 22 months in December, one of the highest wait times. The new Government seems to be all for immigration which is great hence the 25000 Syrians. I hope and pray for a speedy application for not only myself but eveyone on here waiting for a loved one.

I was wondering why it happened so quickly... I know CIC call centre got slaughtered when they posted that 26 months time frame

I would say it's due to the new government. 17 months is now the longest it can take for everyone and that does include sponsorship approval time.

@ shanstar.. the waiting time as it shows right now is 17 months for outland and 26 months for inland. Nothing with CIC makes sense to me lately. Without this forum I'd be lost

When i first went on CIC i think outland was 24 or26 cant to remember but i am glad its 17 now

Jamaica was originally 22 months for outland and now all countries are showing as 17 months so that's a positive change.

When i went on there last year it wasnt 22 and even last month it said 26 but it wasnt up long very happy to see 17

I definitely agree. Before they started showing 17 months for eveything country, they used to show country specific wait times and I recall at the time of filing that it was 22 months for Jamaica. I've never known anyone to take that long but I guess that would be worst case scenario. Very happy as well to see it down to 17

Well hopefully we will see some PPR this month i will be in ja in 3 days cant wait to see my hubby

I submitted November 2014 aor December 2014 start process august 2015...how long before i ear from cic anyone can help
