There's no way to tell for sure, but it should take significantly less time than applying inland. I think right now it's taking between 10-12 months for most standard cases to get through. And I don't know too much about applying common law, other than that it's harder to get approved and they need more proof than a spousal sponsorship. And unfortunately CIC doesn't really seem to care much if there are children involved or not, so having a baby together won't really impact their decision or your processing time, whether it's inland or outland.
