Hey Mel...My husband ordered the new record yesterday, could only get the 1 week in Mobay so will have it by next Thurs.
You mentioned emailing and mailing. Should I just email it to the regular email we use to correspond?
Should we mail it with a tracking# or DHL or what would you suggest? and to which address?

Yes scan and email this to regular email or via the cic website. The original needs to be sent also. My husband used TARA courrier to send it in and it is really less expensive than DHL.

They made another update to my ecas they took off my husband's mailing address and put my lawyer's own instead. So they are working.

It really depends, everyone's application is different. The processing time listed on CIC website is 22 months, generally it doesn't
take that long, but for some people it can take that long or longer, you can take a look at the spreadsheet.

I sent everything upfront medical, police and all fees and we've been waiting for 5 months now.

you will hear something anytime now ...my application was in Kingston since November 12/14 that's when they received it and they sent me AOR.. It says it began to process in Kingston Feb 20/15 approx 2 weeks ago on the Tuesday late night my ecas had a additional line on it that said we begun processing your application on Feb 20/15...it was approx 2.5 weeks after that changed in ECAS that we received the passport request ..we sent in all fees , medical and police check up front and funny they just extended my medical for a extra year about 2 weeks before we received PPR...some members actually told me the night before my husband received this that I sent in far to much documentation and my application was on the back burner and I must admit it was a night of hell for me I was so discouraged after and started to second think but The next day was the happiest day of my life !!! They say 22-23 months online and that is not accurate !! I think they just put it there more less to avoid people contacting them before that time , and maybe if you don't send in fees medicals and police check first and don't supply enough supporting evidence or have conflicting information on your application and are required to have a interview then that also adds a significant amount of time to the process ...cause once they decide you need a interview your application once again goes into another processing quere and waits longer for another VO to set up a interview time and mail to you ......... Lol now I'm kinda thinking maybe I sent in enough stuff that they were able to see clearly the relationship was true, genuine and ongoing ..but GOD will make sure what's meant to be will be !!! And I was so stressed out and discouraged so many times ...days felt like months waiting to hear something and so many times I wanted to give up hope but when you least expect it you will receive the PPR....also just to make you all aware my ECAS and my husbands ECAS still just has the 3 lines , 1.we received your application for pernament residence on November 12/14...2.begun processing FEB20/15 and 3.medical results received ...My husbands also is the exact same so don't reply on ECAS to be updated before you check the mail cause clearly it's not up to date ....I wish for a speedy process for all you ladies !!

Yes i think ur right, and agree that some people may get frightened and stressed, i certainly am. But along the way i learned that i have to just take it. I didnt submit too much info and hopefully that wont cause problems

it isn't the amount of info you summit ..like I said before I just submitted a lot because I had a lot to document and all the time we were together with him in canada and me in Jamaica played a significant role in the amount of stuff we summited ...we also had some issues with his child which he had to go to family court to deal with and all that stuff also added a lot of pages to what we summited ...as for photos it's not the quanity but the quality ..even my family friend/lawyer did tell me that applications get approved that are small enough to fit in a small envelope and ones that include so much you use a box (and I'm talking about the smaller boxes you can buy at canada postal office not a big box ...so if your relationship is genuine you will make it through and your husband will make it here and I'm sure it will be soon ...if I remember correctly from your timeline yours began processing mid March correct ?? If so your only a month behind when mine began processing so anytime now !!!!

Congratulations Paula. I wish you and your family all the best and that everyone hears something from Kingston in the coming weeks. I had to do criminal check for Canada so that was sent in but the one for here wasn't sent.

i don't know I would ask several members there option and if they feel the same maybe I would sugguest you send it in ...personally if it was me I would send it in before they requested it if one wasn't already summited with the original package ..or you could email Kingston and ask them if you should which they may tell you to wait as that's the "normal" process for them but some members said you should do the PC and email them a scanned copy and a copy of the original and keep a copy ...
