If they needed an original, did it slow down anyone's process time?MelJam said:I not sure but when I look at the spreadsheet, I see that Kingston has requested to alot of peoples from 2013 applications the original of certificates including the marriage certificate. But since you got married in here, I don't know if they really need the original.
They normally request the original when they request the passport. It won't slow it down if they do request at that time. The only time it would slow it down is if they requested it prior to the passport request and it's not always a guarantee that it does slow it down.MixedChick92 said:If they needed an original, did it slow down anyone's process time?
Please don't waste your time with a lawyer. They will only take your money and it doesn't speed up the process. You're better off finding all the answers on here and doing it yourself. It's not that hard...it's more overwhelming then anything but if you read the guidelines and double check the questions/answers you will be okay.JamaicanSnowflake said:Ok I'm starting the process, I'm thinking a lawyer sounds great right about now ???
So on the site I find two separate check list IMM5443 2014 or IMM 5491 2013 I would tend to just use the 2014 but on the website it brings me to 2013 urggggg.
and somewhere along the way I have saved IMM5490 which seems very useful to them but isnt found on any check list. oooohhhhhh boy lol
Thanks in advance
I attached every form in order. I placed The Online Receipt right after "SponsorShip Evaluation (IMM 5481)" as per the Sponsors Document Checklist (IMM 5491)ally89 said:Hey guys, where do I put the online payment receipt...do I attach it to the sponsor's application forms

The forms don't need to be in any order...even if it looks nice. Cic will just open the package and make sure all the forms and other documents are there. They won't place then back in orderMixedChick92 said:I attached every form in order. Thank you! We both feel like we are flying high! It all seems a little unreal still, as this time has been so fast. I just not believe it. Passport already went in the mail today. I live in Alberta. His medical expires at the end of September, so I am hoping they give him at least 3 months on VISA before it expires, because he needs to get his drivers license this month and I really want him to finish his school that ends in May. We were definitely not expecting this to happen so fast! I still think someone is pulling a prank on me! I have a flight booked to go down last week in May... lol might have to cancel it and make it his flight to come up!MelJam said:Yay ! Congrats girl ! So quickkk like this !! Wow this is so nice ! Will add you to the spreadsheet as the winner of the shortest process ! LOLOL So make him send the passport asap! After you will wait maybe 1 or 2 weeks to receive it back ! Can you tell me which province you from! Thanks and congrats again!

I really do appreciate all the answers to my questions because CIC does not tell you anything at all and also the info they do provide is not the process that is happening!
You are very right. I feel more supported on here than by family/friends who just want to ask "whens he coming?" "whats happening with immigration" and then put their 2 cents in. And I swear to GOD if I hear one more person down there say "oh i know a guy that got thru in 4 weeks, it doesnt take that long" im gonna lose it lolSunkissed814 said:Unless you have been in someone else shoes, you are unable to truly understand. I have had a few friends that have gone through this process and I was always very supportive. I never realized just how difficult it was until I did it myself. If I can be of support to anyone that is going through this I would love to be, because friends and family are supportive, but the feeling we have waiting for our loved ones and putting our futures on pause... those are just hard to truly feel unless you go though it.
Up until we got the phone requested my husband's passport, I did not realize just how heavy the weight had been on my shoulders. I sometimes would feel like I am just existing without him. Get up everyday, go to work, go through the processes and do it all over again..... Just waiting for that next visit together. I have been blessed do not get me wrong. I am living a happy life and was positive about the future. However, I didn't realize how much I felt like my life was just on 'pause'! I am sure most of you get exactly what I am saying.
I wish I had found this forum sooner as it really gives hope and inspiration. I can't wait to share my husband's landing story with all of you and I can not wait to read about yours. All I can say is that the Kingston office seems to be moving 'quicktime'! I don't know who, what or why someone lit a fire underneath them... but I am thankful and I have all of you in my prayers too.

Ha ha ha, exactly! I know how that feels. I understand when you say you wished you didnt tell anyone at all. And then everyone you talk to suddenly turns into an immigration specialist and tells you this or that and you just want to pull THEIR hair out along with your own, lol. Now that things are progressing, I wont be telling anyone specifics, im just going to wait until he gets here and surprise everyone....Sunkissed814 said:%,
I understand that 100%! I always tell myself that they ask because they care and they just do not know what else to say. I know that they are all as excited as I am and just do not understand the process or the impact it has on me. Sometimes I had wished I just did not tell anybody about iit at all so I did not have to answer all those questions and hear stories of everyone else they knew that had been through the process. However... most days I just wanted to pull all my hair out! My work has never met my husband, however they threw me a wedding shower and always ask about him. After a few months the questions died down because I just keep saying through clenched friendly teeth lol.... I am not sure, it can take up to 25 months so as soon as I know anything I promise I will let you know! And slowly they all got the point! LOL
